Reviewed the specs closely on this item prior to purchase. Specs were as good or better than many of Panamax products, including the digital display conditioner/surge protectors. Did not have room for an additional component, but the single network connection offered on this device does not allow connection to amp and another device such as a Blu-Ray player, or Satellite box. Very happy with the specs, and the 8 AC receptacles are divided equally between larger power (hi-amperage) devices (outlets 5-8) and the smaller devices such as Sat Receivers, DVD players etc. The spacing of the AC outlets are good as well and allow for larger plugs that some devices require.

I bought this and it was recommened by a Best Buy Entertainment vetern employee. This surge protecter replace a monster surge protector which was damage from a local lighting strike. for the price and number of outlets with which reduces bad engery and has a volt meter. As he said when I bought my TV it was the wrong reason to replace a TV that got blown up buy a power surge, Protect your purchase and entertainment equipment.

Our house took a power surge that burned out our main 220 breaker. All our electircal appliances fried along with our surge protected computer. The only surviving components were my Plasma TV, Surround sound system, DVR, X Box and WII, which were all plugged in to this item.

This is not a surge protector It is a reasonably priced power conditioner with surge protection which will also protect phone and coaxial cable. It helped me already and am impressed with finished product

Quality surge protector and power management. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for surge protection for a fair price. Works great for my computer set up so I know it is safe.

It's worth the extra money to have cable atta hment from the wall. Knowing first hand, lightening is a powerful source, and can destroy all your electronics in the drop of a hat!

my unit seems to power surge all the time causing many of my electronics to die. after i bought this i have had no problems so far.

Monster cable products were used in my home theater system since 90's, my current M-series power strip/center buzzing for a while and it's now annoying loud and it finally quit! I went to BestBuy and found this one it fit in my budget and bought it, the end result is GREAT, my 4K TV color now more vivid, vibrant and shaper, even my 80+ years old parents CAN see the color improvement. I am glad I chose Panamax over Monster Cable for the price and newer internal electronic design.

Does exactly what it claims to do. Very good value for the protection of all AV equipment.

This has been a good purchase. It gives me confidence that the expensive components plugged into this surge protector are safe. I've had no issues.

If you purchase this unit from any one other than an "approved" vendor it invalidates the warranty. We had a local installer provide the unit for us but when we read the warranty info we found that he wasn't considered an "approved" vendor, so we had to return it to him and buy it on line (as no one local but the installer sells it but he's not "approved") from someone that Panamax approved. The whole thing left us with an uneasy feeling about the product, but we can now prove we purchased it from an approved vendor, so hopefully if it fails and there is any component damage, we are covered...hopefully...I hope...

A necessary piece of equipment to protect your large investment.

Had a lightning strike a few nights ago and the surge protector seemed to protect all my electrical equipment. The one I had before let the lightning destroy my TV!

I use this for my entertainment center, although I am not utilizing the coaxial or phone ports. It is well-designed, aesthetically and functionally, and includes 4 sockets on the side and 4 on the top. The price is well-worth it when you consider it is protecting (potentially) a lot of expensive equipment.

took it out of the box, plugged it in and hooked up the various componetns and everything works fine

I used this to protect & supply my home theatre system on the advice of my BB salesman and I am happy that nothing happened to my system. I am disappointed that one day for no specific reason, it just stopped supplying power. There were no recent storms or power failures in the area, and it worked the night before, so I was a little puzzled when it failed to turn on my system. I called and naturally, it was "just" out of warranty. I purchased it approx 14 months earlier for about $120.00. I could've spent more for a "super" surge protection/conditioner system to the tune of $200.00, but I don't have alot of components on my system and my salesman said "you should be fine with this one". If you want to protect your investment, then start here. Upgrade to the highest level you can afford and do some research on what you want protecting your system. I went with "good enough" and it almost cost me albeit, this protector, was the only failure and hopefully did what it was designed to do.

Been a user of Monster Power power devices for a few years and decided to give Panamax a try this time around. The price was a little more, but the detailed specifications of the Panamax made it a more comfortable purchase.

The power strip supplies power to TV and components but will never know if it is worth it unless other appliances get affected by surges or brownouts. Never had any problems before. Got it on the Geek Squads recommendation
