    Quality Surge Protector

    Having bought a new 4K flat screen TV from Best Buy, I wanted to go the next step and protect the purchase by acquiring a quality multi outlet surge protector. Obviously went back to Best Buy and had the staff there provide the options and decided on the Panamax 8-Outlet Surge Protector that enabled me to have multiple electronic plugs and a reasonably priced but high quality surge protecting device to protect my purchase. The Panamax device looks really sharp and fits the area behind the TV just right. I’m very pleased with the choice and the purchasing experience at Best Buy!!!

    Mountable surge protector was just what I needed

    Seems to be doing the job so far. This surge protector worked perfectly for my setup as I have a closet on the back side of where my TV is, so I mounted this to a stud on the back of the wall and ran cords through the wall. It's meeting my needs.

    New surge protector for TV and Dish receiver!

    Replaced my old unit with this new one. So far no problems. It provides all the inputs I need for my hi-amp receiver, 4K TV, ROKU, and DVD players. Should be a good investment for my home theatre setup.

  • I purchased the silver/gray ($159.98) M8-AV surge protector for my new iMac and new Canon Printer. Is this protection good enough or should I exchange it for the M8-AV PRO (black) surge protector? Let me know. Thanks!

    It should work but the black one offers a higher level to prevent power surges as well as protection.

  • i need a protection for my tv and computers when on the grid and when i run my 12000 watt generator during power outage. will this protect my equipment? some comments cheap surge protectors do no good in the event of lightning strike . not good

    I’m not an engineer, so I’m not qualified to discuss the science. But I studied quite a bit about these after a lightning strike took out 3 TVs, a computer, a router, and a modem. There is a big difference in performance between cheap surge protectors and this product. You can spend a lot more as well, but this seemed to have solid specs in a reasonable price range. Of course, the only proof of performance would be a failure, so it’s finally an act of faith. I bought three of them.

  • The Panamax.com website shows this one as having a six foot cord, but your website shows it has an 8 foot cord. Which one is correct?

  • Little information is given about the ethernet and coaxial ports. I assume the 2 ethernet ports are 1 in and 1 out. But don't like to assume anything. There are 4 coaxial connectors. Are they 1 in and 3 out? Or, 2 in and 2 out? Thanks.

    I went to the website cited. What I called ethernet ports are actually phone jacks--1 in 1 out. The four coaxial connectors are 2 in, 2 out. Had to look at the Manual. Thanks.

  • Seems like conflicting information on this item in the overview vs specs as to if it automatically disconnects or not?

    Thanks but it still shows "no" to auto disconnect in the specs was hoping someone from one of the 2 actual companies would chime in. Glad your stuff is working.
