I purchased this protector as my previous Monster one stopped working. Once connected, you can instantly tell the difference in the picture as this item ensures the proper electric amps is being disbursed to the TV. It is all a great investment in the event of a power surge or blackout.

I have a home theater with a yamaha receiver, roku, sony dvd, directtv dvr and epson projector, all running off of one 120 outlet. Using a regular power strip, the fluctations in voltage would sometime cause the system to shut down. Since installing this I have had not one power failure.

We recently had a power issue and very much wanted a straightforward protection package. This is working just fine! I don't really turn it 'off', just leave it connected. My powered sub's are performing absolutely correctly all the time (which didn't happen before). Really like this one (and it was a good uy as well).
