Nice inverter microwave

However, it seems to heat "hotter" than the same model we owned for 12 years. The light is not as bright either and the door is lighter. In addition, the lower corner of the door was so sharp it scratched my arm every time I opened it. I filed it off with an emery board to smooth it out. The "lock" feature if okay for children, if needed. We disabled it. I also miss the sensor cook for different foods. It is efficient and nice looking and we hope it lasts as long as our first one.

My only concern was the height, thinking I wouldn't get me much space inside, but it fine. 4.5 as there is always room for improvement.

Misaligned Door, Poor Workmanship

User manual begins with warnings NOT TO USE if the door doesn't seal properly. How am I to know if it's properly sealed when it sags/is misaligned by 1/4"? Terribly poor manufacturing workmanship - so I get the pleasure of carting a 40+ pound box to Best Buy in order to return the unit. Highly disappointing.

My old one lasted 7 yrs. I have a trim kit so I didn’t want to buy a unit requiring me to buy a new trim kit. Feels less solid than the one it replaced and my old one did not have the dumb child lock feature. Cooks fine and seems to cook evenly, with plenty of power.

We disabled the lock and it is just a breeze to open and close and not have to worry about pressing different things and therefore more arthritic hand friendly!! No little kids here to worry about. It has plenty of room for larger containers.

It somehow is about to concentrate heat in the middle of a defrosting item, which makes for more quick and even reheat. Others have commented on the door angle; there is a minor cosmetic issue with the door sagging down and to the right, about 1 mm, with no associated performance issue. Soapbox: I wish there were LESS options for microwaves. How about just limiting the variables to plate diameter and power, and maybe cosmetic design features? Then the manufacturers could focus their attention on perfecting a few models, instead of flooding the marketplace with "choices" that differ very little one from the next. Thank you, Best Buy, for recycling my expired microwave for free in the store!

We needed a large platter but not a large microwave. The sharp was a great design with the controls running across the top reducing the width while maintaining the cavity 1.6cu ft 1200watts. Enter this unit. Same specs, similar platter 16 vs 18” and newer better defrost functionality. (AWESOME) We LOVED it so much (that when the first one died after two years from some misuse… arg), we bought another. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It gets used daily for many applications… oh did i mention DEFROST! Yessss. You won’t regret it.

Great size works very well but has a problem with moisture. Builds up condensation after use has to be wiped out after every use even with popcorn.

Bought it to replace a 1.3 cu since it seem like it was going to give out any day now. Definitely stronger which means less time in the microwave. The only thing I don’t like is the child safety lock. I followed the steps to take it off but it’s not working. Think that was an issue from buying it open box but I’ll deal with it. Other than that it’s pretty nice.
