Throw out your old traditional razors asap! If you normally suffer from bumps or irritation then this shaver would be perfect for you! This shaver provides a close, comfortable and clean shave without the worry! Charges fast and is ultra portable I definitely recommend it! Heck, I own two one for my home and one for travel and I have not been disappointed yet!

Short and sweet: if there is a better electric shaver on the market I don’t want or need it. Close shave, quick charge, seems VERY well made and totally reliable. I love mine!!! Confession - I just bought my third one. New blades cost $50+; bought my 2nd and third shavers on sale for around $100 (several years apart). Call me crazy! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This will initially appear intimidating if transitioning from an Arc 3 but the power and closeness of shave are worth it in my opinion. Design wise, it's beautifully crafted and higher in cost but Best Buy occasionally has these sales that make it "attainable". Having used rotary heads, razors and other Panasonic Arcs, this is a very good investment in my opinion; I hope to use it for several years like my previous Arc 3 ( which still works)!

I've had many electric shavers (a family member sends different ones from where they work) but I always go back to my Pan ES-SL41 that I've had for years and it's served me well. The 41 has finally gave up it's ghost and I went to buy an arc3 but went for the arc5 and am happier than I've ever been when shaving. The old 3 blade had a slow time on 3 day growth on my face but the arc 5 cuts through it like it's one day growth. Is it smooth? My spouse is the jury and she loves how close it gets. Charge lasted a month on mine with shaving (may differ on your face and how often you shave). But this was worth every dime!

This is the best shaver I've ever used. I didn't realize how much better a good shaver is compared to the cheap $40 ones. I'm getting a super close shave and very comfortable to use. I can shave faster than most, about a minute, and I'm still on the first charge after 2 weeks. I love this shaver!

I caught this shaver on sale at half off. I've used shavers in the past and was always disappointed because they were a bit painful and failed to get a close shave. This shaver is much different and better. No pain and a close shave for my face and head. I ony decided to try it because of the sale price, it turned out to be a good investment.

Overall I am very pleased with this shaver. It gives me precise shave and the battery life is very good. It gets clean to the skin without any cuts on my face. it’s quiet, traveling pouch is handy for travel.

My older Arc5 became my travel razor and allowed me to upgrade. Since I have several years with the older version, I can confidently say the new razor is quieter, smoother and faster.

Shaves well, and the trimmer is great, but it is loud and I am concerned about the long term effect on my hearing. On a decibel meter app, it hits 79-80, while the Philips I was using is 74-75. Decibel ratings are logorithmic.

I had the Panasonic Arc3 ES8243A for a long time and felt that it was time to replace the old shaver. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. The Arc5 is amazing. It gives you a great shave, is easy to use, and it a lot quieter than the Arc3.

I This is a great shaver for tough beards. I went from taking 8 to 10 minutes for a poor shave with my lower tier Norelco rotary shaver to less than 4 minutes and a great shave with the the Panasonic Arc 5. I can get as good of shave in 2.5 as I got with my old shaver. I do a dry shave using Afta pre electric shave. Why did I buy this instead of the more expensive version or one of the high end Braun shaver's. The need and and how easy it is to clean the Panisonic Arc 5. It only takes a little soap and and a few seconds to clean and I only need to clean it once a week since I do a dry shave. The Braun review sounded like it was hard to clean and had a special cleaner . The only difference on the more expensive Panisonic was that it came with a cleaner that I don't need or need to clutter the bathroom sink with. Battery life is great as one charge will last me 2 weeks.

Is there such a thing as too close of shave? After using a cheaper model for the last two years and looking to replace the blades, I saw this unit on sale. It's so much closer shave, it took a couple weeks for my skin to adjust, but now I'm really loving the blade close shave that this unit provides. All around quick and close shave.

This razor is fantastic. Provides a super close shave and doesn’t burn or irritate my skin. The shaver can even be used when skin is wet and still provides a clean effortless shave. One to two passes is all it takes. Mine is made in Japan and I hope that Panasonic continues to make them there. This is one quality unit

It took me a while to learn how to shave with this razor, but I am now consistently getting a baby smooth, shave every morning and 2 to 5 minutes.

I've used a lot of electric shavers from all the main brands (norelco, braun, remington) and the panasonic shavers work far better on my face than the others. I have less irritation, less in grown hairs, and a much closer/cleaner shave with their razors. I've been using an ARC3 for years and always wanted to upgrade but wasn't sure how much of a difference i'd see since i was happy with the ARC3. I should've upgraded earlier! As good as the ARC3 is, this is significantly better. The Arc3 will now be my travel shaver while this is my everyday home shaver. Now, i don't grow a heavy beard or anything and i don't really like using disposables, so use that info if it helps you decide. This thing is now giving me the best shave i've ever had plus the battery lasts a long time. The best thing about this is that i can use it with shaving cream or soap which helps you get even closer.

Great price good quality. I have a Braun shaver battery is soldered in where Panasonic is replaceable. The blade is designed just like my Braun. Only it does not cut in one pass as the Braun. For 1/3 the cost I’ll buy Panasonic from now on.
