This razor is awesome. Provides a surprisingly close shave for an electric razor. I bought to use as a touch up razor but it works so well that I've started using it daily in place of my razor blade. The cleaning process is really easy

I got a gift certificate from my daughter and son-in-law so I decided to get a new shaver. I bought my first one, a Vidan, about 3 and a half years ago from a Bic electronic store in Japan. The foil wore out and the battery doesn’t hold a charge anymore but I thought it was a great shaver until I bought this new Panasonic Arc5 with the gift certificate. The Vidan is very loud with a loud buzz and the shaving head only tilts front to back. This wet or dry shave Arc5, also made in Japan, has a very soft buzz and also tilts front to back but better yet, tilts left to right which I think makes the Arc5 shave closer almost like a razor blade does. I also like that the shaving head can be rinsed daily under running water to remove debris rather than by only using a small brush. This shaver comes with a soft zippered travel case and wired charger. Great product so far!

Got this to give as a gift, the recipient raved about it. He had only used rotary-type electrics before and was surprised how nicely this razor cut. I noticed it makes a high-pitched buzz, nothing like the old Remington my father used. When turned off it shows how long he used it and how much charge is left on the battery.

I bought this for my wife who has owned other electric shavers in the past but didn’t like them at all. She says that the problem with the others she’s owned was that they were inexpensive women specific models and she doesn’t think the women’s models work nearly as well as the men’s. She absolutely loves the Panasonic Arc5 which works exceptionally well for her and the cost is easily justified when I see her using it on a daily basis. She has commented multiple times on how close it shaves and has even put her dollar shave club account on hold. I’m giving the shaver 5 stars but the quality 4 bars only because I wish it were built with more metal even though most things nowadays are built primarily of plastic.

Love it! Best electric razor I have ever owned. Works great in shower while using shaving cream. Charge lasts about 2 weeks and quickly recharges.

Used a blade for years but decided to try an electric again since i keep hearing they have gotten better. This unit is designed well and has a great battery life. Buzzes through my tough stubble with no issues. No pulling or pain.

This is my first purchase of an electric shaver and I was a bit worried to use it at first. I'm very prone to razor burn and cuts, so when I use a razor I have to be very careful and it's a painstakingly long process. I've used an electric shaver before, but it was a cheaper one and it chewed up my face. I used the Panasonic Arc 5 without any cream and I was surprised that I didn't feel anything. The motor is quite loud, but I felt no discomfort when using it on my face. It does take awhile to hit every spot, but I think it's worth the extra time to prevent burn and cuts. It's not as close as a razor finish but it's pretty dang close. After using it my wife told me my face was really smooth, so that makes it a winner in my book.
