Purchased brain series 8 and arc 5. Arc 5 was faster and closer with smooth shave. Returned series 8 and purchased Braun series 9 few weeks later to compare. Arc 5 still shaved closer then 9 but I’m going to return the Arc 5 because of my sensitive skin that is prone to ingrown hairs. I wishes Panasonic sold the newer model in the USA because from the reviews they are easier on sensitive skin due to added gold shave guards. If you don’t have sensitive skin and want best electric shaver, the arc 5 is a no brainer.

Should have got one sooner. This thing trims close and is super easy to use.

Being a blade user for most of my life and having not used an electric shaver in years, I decided to give one another try. After doing quite a bit of research, I purchased this item (it being on sale didn't hurt either). The unit is quite comfortable to hold and does a decent job of providing a clean shave. If there is a negative, and it could be that I am still trying to get used to using an electric shaver, I am having difficulty cutting some of the longer facial hairs. After multiple tries I usually end up getting out the old blade shaver and finish the job. The unit however is very easy to clean and it holds a charge for a long time. Overall, this is a very nice shaver.

Sometimes it requires several passes to get close. Also, due to the larger head of shaver size, it can be harder to get lone whiskers under the nose.

From the very 1st shave with this product, I noticed how much smoother and more comfortable it felt on my face. I have been using razors and shaving products from both Harry's and Dollar Shave Club along with some of the better electric shavers for several years now. While they have been OK, I have been looking for something that provided the ease of an electric razor with the closeness I've found with shaving creams or lather. This gives me both features in a great shaving experience.

Purchased Panasonic shavers for over 10 years now and always satisfied with these products. Purchased as a Christmas gift for myself. Looking forward to using this new shaver and retiring the old one.

Works very well! I like that option to lock the blades or have them move in the shape of my chin. Also love that it is for wet or dry shaving!

This is my second Panasonic Arc5 shaver. I originally bought one about three years ago, and I really liked it a lot. There was nothing wrong with it, but I decided to buy a new one instead of replacing the shaver head and foil especially since it was on sale. I have been using Panasonic shavers for over ten years. This shaver gives me a great shave, and it is not too expensive.

I had been shaving using a 5 blade razor, but I found my neck constantly getting irritated. I did that for about a year, but for many users used a well-known brand rotary razor and found I had to go over the same area too often. The Panasonic razor does an excellent job. I have used it on a totally dry face with no problem. The foil gets a bit warm, but never hot. I know use some shave cream over a wet face just to get a bit of lubrication, and the results are excellent. This razor is also very easy to clean. Can't believe I waited so long to try a foil razor.

This electric shaver is super easy to use , I like design , quality , price , especially that is wet to dry option .

Just upgraded to the arc 5 from a Norelco rotary. Night and day difference. Shaves closer and is quieter and smoother on the skin. No regrets.

This is a well-designed and efficient product. Does a fine job.

Got this for my son for Christmas. He loves it. Gentle on his sensitive skin. He said he should have gotten one a long time ago.

I'm very happy with the close shave I get. I like the separate settings for beards. I much prefer the foil heads over my previous rotary head shaver for cleaning. The razor head is easily removable. An indicator lights up when it's time to clean the heads with liquid soap and warm water; though I haven't owned the shaver long enough to experience that. Another nice convenience is a power level indicator for the rechargeable battery in increments of 10%.

I luv this thing. Smooth head every time. My wife luvs it as well. She doesn’t use it she likes the way my head feels.

Awesome value for what it is. Will be buying another soon!

so far, so good. it has 4 separate cutting blades and has done a nice job. My only regret is that I have spare blades & foils from my other Panasonic, but they are for the 2 blade system...I should have looked more closely.
