Great product. Slightly irritating on areas on neck and under the jaw line, but will vary from user to user. Cleans and charges well. I recommend for keeping a clean shave on your face!

i bought this after doing a detailed survey of other competitors, this offers the best of everything at lowest price. I was a razor shaver previously and this was my first electric shaver, first 4 weeks I had a itchy bumpy skin along the neck and was thinking of sending it back but during 5th week after my skin got used to, I started loving it. One issue might be the lack of availability of washing solution but I was able to find a year's worth of supply on amazon.

I have used previous Arc5 series for about 7 years. I bought this new series in mid November but I had to return the new Arc5 after 1 week of usage because it was very harsh on my skin. The foil is the same with the previous series so it cannot be the issue that caused the discomfort. To my opinion, the "sensing" feature of the new Arc5 is causing the skin irritation as it causes the machine to run at different speeds (you can hear the speed change as you use it). In the previous Arc5 you were able to turn the "sensing" option off. To make sure my problem is not about the foil, I returned my first one and then got another new one from the store. Unfortunately I had the same skin problems again. So I had to return the other one another week later. Since the foil is the same with the previous Arc5 series, I do not think my skin is not accustomed to the shaver, as I was using it before. I think Panasonic should bring the "sensor" off option (just like the previous series had) and this would solve the problems with this shaver. Unfortunately the foils do not last long, it says 24 months for replacement but I barely seen 3 months on one foil in the previous Arc5 machines so I think it would be similar for this one as well.
