I've had many Norelco rotary shavers and one Panasonic foil shaver (a cheap one), and so far this is the best shaver I have ever had. I just turned 80, so I've had a few. It's quiet and handles easily, cleans easily also.

I got this on sale for $100 and I would say that so far it is ok. This is my first electric shaver and I'm still getting used to it. The shave isn't as close as a normal razor and it struggles to remove my neck hair, however it does comes with a nice trimmer that removed those pretty easily. I think it could be worth the investment to save on razors since you only need to change parts after a year or two. So far I am not sure of how I feel about this shaver.

This shaver does give an exeptional close shave. At a price of $119.00 on sale it can not be beat . The pivoting head and its beard thinckness sensor is amazing. I can now shave comfortably and have great results in 1/3 the time it took with my old shaver. Truly a great buy.

I like the base for this—makes cleaning it a breeze and it keeps it organized. I still find the need for a rotary head shaver on my neck. Otherwise it’s good

I have been shaving with blades over almost 60 years. I have a very course beard and it took a while to learn and adapt. Once I started using electric pre shave I began getting excellent results with no discomfort. Don't know why I waited so long. Have always loved Panasonic products. This one is no different.

After trying disposable, DE, and rotary shaving,finally! I have thick hairs that require me to shave daily. Add sensitive skin, its been a struggle. I love the Arc5.

At least for me, Panasonic razors are the only way to go. I've tried just about all other major brands and I return them. I've only kept Panasonic. That said, this is not a miracle razor. I have to go over my beard and neck and bald head many times before I'm good to go. But at least when I'm done shaving, I'm smooth! It tells me how much charge is left when I turn it off. It tells me how long I took to shave. Now how in the world did I ever exist without knowing how many minutes it took me to shave. I got this on sale, the only way to go.

First time I have bought anything other than the "3 blade models" and what a difference for me! So smooth. I just really hope that the first use experience lasts a long time, and if it does, then this more expensive model will be all I will purchase in the future.

I had been using cheap Panasonic shavers for some time when I decided to splurge on this shaver during a sale. This model is a professional quality shaver that is a joy to use. My days of using low end shavers are gone for ever. This model does a much better job and charges quickly

I was disappointed at the failure of my previous Braun S3 shaver. Even the easiest hairs of my face required repeated swipes and still it was not a clean shave. The Braun shaver almost complete failure to to cut the tough hairs above my neck. Looking at the reviews I choose the Panasonic to replace it. I find that yes I need to swipe more than once but the shave is close and clean. Tough hairs around my neck, do get cut with multiple swipes. The electric charge last a long time. It is fast recharge. There is clear indication when you need to recharge. I find I need to clean the shaver once a week which saves time most mornings.

Been using Panasonic Arc shavers for the past 30 years. The Arc5 provides the closest and most comfortable shaving experience. My only complaint is that the batteries in these products retain their re-charging capability for only 4~5 years, thus re-buying these shavers every now and then.

This did not disappoint. The shave was close and quick. Mows down a pretty thick shadow very efficiently -- on the first pass. Relatively quiet compared to previous generations. Will last aout 2 weeks on one charge.

I was skeptical about the online reviews, but this electric razor truly gives you the closest shave, at least from my experience. I have owned two Norelco rotary shavers (9000 series) for the last 5+ years, but I finally decided to try something new because even after chaniging the blades, the shave was just not as close as I thought it could be. I did my research and I was close to buying a Braun 7 or 9 series on blackfriday, but the price of this one just couldnt be beat. This also has a built in trimmer which is really handy to have. I do have to take a bit more time when shaving so I don’t miss any spots, but its not much longer than when using my rotary shaver. If you are looking for an electric shaver that gives you an extremely close shave, this one is for you!

Product does a good job of cutting whiskers, but the best part is the ease of cleaning the shaver.

I bought this for my son to replace the arc 3 which he was unhappy with. He says it is good for his sensitive skin & works much better too

Panasonic arc five, the best foil shiver wet or dry. I am a Barber and I use this on my clients. And they are very satisfied with the results

I have owned numerous Panasonic wet/dry shavers over a 25 year period. When combined with a good pre-shave face scrub and Billy Jealousy Hydroplane shave cream, this razor will give as close a shave as a blade. The head stays sharp with normal use for about two years. I always replace the shaver as I've not had much success with head replacement and they are expensive. Easily outperforms a Braun which I purchased for a change but I returned to the Panasonic for a closer and quieter shave. Motor is powerful and recharges in an hour lasting for many shaves. This is about the sixth Nano Arc model I've had except the previous ones were four blade and this one is five. I like it better, cleans easy and only a few bucks more than the four blade; a high quality product worth the money.

This is a nice shaver that’s very ergonomic. Battery lasts a while so you get multiple shave session on a charge. Work great when skin is wet/shaving gel. Had a bad time using it as a dry shaver doesn’t seem to glide on the skin which leads to cut.

This shaver gets pretty close and does a good job on my jawline. It takes multiple passes to get the hair, but overall, it's better than others I've had.
