Had a Norelco Shaver, which gave me a closer shave than this Panasonic shaver. Still it is a okay shaver.

Outcome is not so great as advertised with hairs left here and there. Very ineffective in neck region. Not impressed, avoid.

Does great on the face, but you really have to pay attention on the neck area.

Thought I would try another brand rather than norelco and Braun, not a fan so far.

too big for my face. I have used a smaller version of this razor.

It’s just a regular electric razor that’s overpriced, I like my old one better with a smaller that was much cheaper.

Just purchased the Panasonic Arc5 electric shaver to replace my Braun 3 electric shaver. My Braun was my first foil shaver and it did a decent job, but not as good as the Arc5. I don't know if my Braun just needs new foil or the Arc5's foil are still new and sharp, but the Arc5 gave me a really close first shave. Still not as close a razor as I had to take a couple of passes to get my skin smooth, but pretty darn close. It glided much better than my Braun. You can tell how strong the shaver is based on how easy it cut my hair. It is a little loud, but you can't expect a V8 to sound like a Hybrid. The Arc5 feels really light too. The head is big, but it glides over my jaw, chin and cheek area with ease. There's a lock on the power button so whether you're traveling and don't want it to accidentally turn on you have that option. There's also a lock on the back to keep the head from pivoting, which again is probably used when traveling to protect the head from moving freely.. The Arc5 also comes with a plastic cover to protect the head as well as a soft faux leather case to protect the shaver when you throw it in a toiletry bag or suitcase. Charging seems to be really fast. Out of the box it was completely dead, but only after a few minutes charging it was already at 30%. It's advertised to give you 45 minutes of shaving, so we'll see. The Arc5 has a digital display to show you the battery % as well as the number of minutes it's been used, which I'm guessing go hand in hand. Overall, after only one use this has been the best electric shaver I've owned and the closest shave next to a razor. Hoping that this isn't just the honeymoon phase and continues to provide me with a close shave for years to come.

I'm always skeptical of shavers like this, because none have really given me close shave without ruining my skin. But this one has been great to use. I especially like that it's wet/dry which helps for with after workout grooming. Pop up trimmer works okay, doesn't seem to get close for fine detailing my mustache to me. Comes with a "leather" carrier and battery is long lasting.

Did a research and finally brought this shaver.Some parts of my face it didnt shave smooth.

This is my first Panasonic razor! I was previously using a much more expensive razor and decided to get this razor. Here is what I like: Received my first smooth shave in a long time. Find it interesting that I do not feel any vibrations on my face, only in the handle making for a smooth razor to skin contact experience. Handle with thumb stop gives better, more accurate control. The handle is also very comfortable to hold. Love the battery % indicator that drops as you use the razor to help you determine remaining time left until a recharge is needed. I recharged the razor at 20 % and did take approx 1 hour to a full charge. I was able to get 3 shaves before I hit 20% but I do have some tough whisker's under my chin and neck area that require more shaving time. My previous razor has a cleaning charge station that I thought I would miss, but, this razor is very easy to clean and oil treat and does not take hardly any time at all and I will save $$$ by not needing cleaning cartridges which can add up over time. The trimmer is adequate but I don't use razor trimmers anyway. What I Don't like: Not much to tell here and I guess time will tell on the longevity of this razor. Over All, I would definitely recommend this to any one who is looking for a Great razor at a good value.

I typically use a disposable razor for shaving so switching to the Arc5 electric shaver has been an adjustment for me which has become easier the more I use it. I don’t have a ton of facial hair nor does it grow very fast but, it’s enough to where I have to shave two times per week before looking scruffy and not presentable for work. The razor itself is sleek and well built. You can tell by the construction and feel it will last a long time. It comes with clear instructions for charging, use and cleaning. Panasonic is giving you a two-year warranty with the razor which is also very comforting. When you spend a good amount of money on a product and the company stands behind it, it’s truly a good sign. I’ve used it dry, wet and with shaving cream. I prefer the wet option with a little bit of shaving cream as this is clearly the closest and cleanest option. I warn however that you should thoroughly clean it after using it this way so that there is no residue the next time you use it. The trimmer works really well for sideburns or areas where you are touching up and the switch on the back moves easily from the trimmer setting to the lock which stabilizes the shave head and free so that it follows your face more freely while in use. Great razor and I highly recommend it.

I wanted shave+trimmer, so not for me, way expensive just for a shaver.

This shaver did not give me a close shave like advertised.

Only lasted me a few months, would like to have a larger battery capacity.

I own this machine for 7 months now. I was super happy with this machine until recently that it started producing a loud periodic noise when using it. I expected a longer-lasting machine given its high price.

I haven't used electric shavers for a lot of years because they didn't shave close enough, especially compared to a standard razor, so this shaver was my first revisit to see if the technology had improved to allow better shaves to be achieved. My finding is that "not yet". This shaver did a terrible job of shaving. I had to go over my face to the point of it starting to get sore from running the shaver over it so many times. After all that I ended up having to whip out my standard razor to finish up the job. I'm very disappointed because I was hoping it would have worked and save me some time on my daily shave. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way.
