I purchased this to replace an old rotary uniting I had. It was an ok unit, but I had always preferred my first fail shaver to this. My brother really liked his panasonic, so I got this one. The cleaning/charging stand is a nice bonus, but you can buy this same shaver without it. It does clean this very nicely, I do it once a week to be thorough, but daily rinse and tap does ok also. The closeness on this if very good, minimal irritation. My old foilcanceling? A single unit, so having 5 is odd, but effective. Irritation is a minimum for me. I do prefer to use a bit of preshave with this just to make sure. Battery life is easily 14 days fo regular shaving 1 time daily. Overall, it is a bit more expensive than some other units, bit I hope it will last a long time and works well.

This was a gift for my S.O. and they use it in the shower to tidy up their face. It holds a good charge and handles course facial fuzz like a champ. They've remarked on it being effective and easy to use for wet or dry use and preferable to a standard wet razor.

I used to be that person who spent a fortune on razors and shave butters because I couldn’t find an electric razor that would give me a close shave without being irritating and a pain to clean. Guess what? I was wrong! This razor doesn’t cause razor burn, and it even cleans and dries itself in a handy side piece. The book says the cleaning liquid lasts for 6 months, but I got 45 days out of it before I needed to replace it. In fairness, Amazon has the liquid for around $18 for 6 packets. When you weigh the cost of the razor against the savings of not having to buy razors and how easy and close this razor gets a shave, I think it pays for itself 10 times over. And I can shave in less than 2 minutes!

The best razor I ever used . This is my second one and I can’t believe how close it shaves and how comfortable it is . The charging is quick and it’s easy to clean with soft soap and water . Panasonic is my razor company for life . Great product!

So my Braun cleaner base stopped working again. SECOND one traded at a retailer that use to take things back if you had any issue. They stopped doing that. So went online and utube. Found panasonic is rated the best mens electric shaver. Best Buy had it and was cheaper than other places. Very happy I spent the money to get it. . Shave time cut in half and a much better shave. Skin feels very soft after the shave. No spots of any uncut hairs. The old braun 10 I had left some, If I didn't take the extra time for multiple passes. I had a Phillips it was so cheap the heads would not stay in place. That's why I went to the Braun It's very quite. Much less motor noise than any other razor I have used. The cleaner base runs quit also. Cleaner base is better than the Braun. Plus no plastic cleaner cartridge to throw away. Just clean and refill. I wish I would found out about panasonic mens razors many years back.

I have liked Panasonic shavers for a very long time. 2 years ago I decided to try a different solution. It was expensive too, but I didn’t like it should have returned it, but suffered for two years. Finally purchased this new Panasonic shaver and love it. Smooth, easy shaves. Battery lasts very long time. Easy to clean. Love to travel with it too.

This is what I'm talking about! Awesome razor, fast razor. This thing will clean you up in no time. Holds a great charge and speed trought the battery range. Has a built dryer for the head after washing the razor off. All around amazing product and what I expect for the high price. Braun has dropped the ball the past 5yrs or so, so I tried this. I'll buy again.

I've been eyeballing these shavers for a while and I finally got one a few weeks ago. This is shaver is amazing! I actually got what feels to be a closer shave with the Arc5 over my Gillette Fusion and my safety razor and a WAAAAAY better shave over my Norelco rotary. It's comfortable to in the hand and on the face. The cleaning/charging base is AWESOME! If you're lazy like me, this is a must! The razor get almost spotless with the cleaning function. Waaaay better than using those little brushes. Only complaint is it's a bit loud when cleaning. I ended up putting some foam padding under the base to dampen the vibration noises. Other than that, I highly recommend this!

First ever electric razor, and it is fantastic. I prep with Molton Brown razor-glide shave gel, and shave in the shower. The shave is closer than a Proglide Fusion blade. No worry about getting a cut. Long battery life- at least two weeks. Easy to clean with pop off head. Highly recommend.

This, Shaver cuts close, but not as close as a razor. Seems to hold a charge for a faur number of shaves. Overall Im happy with its performance.

I have owned several electric shavers and this one is the best one hands down. Way better than the Braun 7 shaver. The trimmer on the side is great and easy to use. Well worth the money! You get a good close shave with this shaver, still not like a regular razor but pretty close! Also the battery life is great and easy to determine how much battery life is less. If you want an electric shaver this is the one to get.

I purchased this shaver because I recently became ill and cannot shave any longer in the old traditional way with a razor. This is actually my second electric shaver. I’m extremely impressed with this one, my first one was not expensive, was a gift, and did not seem to cut very well after a few uses. I have now use this shaver for a few weeks and it gives me a very close shave with no pulling. This is excellent as the reason I’ve used traditional shavers. My entire life is because the sensitivity of my skin. I think this one’s gonna work out well, it’s very well-made, swivels and moves, and just about every direction required, is absolutely waterproof, I’m a happy camper!!

I bought this shaver based on the online reviews. After using it for a few weeks, Im pleasantly surprised with the close shaves Im getting. I still haven’t figured out how to reach underneath my nose with it. Cleaning the razor after every use is extremely easy! I do wish the carrying case was be big enough to accommodate the charger and the razor. Bottom line, i wish I made the switch from a blade razor to and electric razor years ago. Im happy and very please to have made the Panasonic Arc 5 my first electric razor. I completely recommend this model.

This is my 3rd Arc Shaver from Panasonic having previously owned the Arc2 and Arc3 shavers and my first time having a shaver with the cleaning system. Ever since my first Arc shaver, I've been sold on Panasonic making the absolute best electric shavers (which is all I've ever used since I was a teenager because I have an intense fear of razor blades). This Arc5 is an excellent upgrade from my Arc3. It makes shaving so easy with the individually flexing shaving blades and then the overall head that can be locked in place or allowed to move and adjust with the contours of your face and neck. I mean, so many other companies would have one or the other, but Panasonic builds there's with both! The handle is comfortable to hold. A single charge seems to last forever. The battery level indicator is clear. You can lock this thing for travel so it can't accidentally get turned on in your suitcase. It really is the PERFECT electric shaver. Then throw in the cleaning system and it's unbeatable. I love the cleaning system. It's easy to use and keeps my shaver cleaned and charged. Really the best shaver on the market!

I purchased this after reading many reviews, and it seemed to be the best value for the money. After using this for a while it has been great. Nice shave, easy to clean, and hold a charge very well. With its 5 blades it's hard to beat for any price and handles the curves of my face very well.

I had a previous Panasonic model, and the battery eventually wore out after many years of heavy use and travel around the world. I liked the previous model so much that I would not consider buying anything other than an equivalent Panasonic replacement. The Arc 5 has 5 shaver heads compared to 3 for the previous model. My first thought was that this was excessive and unnecessary, but on trying it for the first time, I discovered an even more comfortable shave. This is a wet/dry shaver with long battery life (both charge and durability), quick recharging, replaceable heads, and a popup trimmer. It comes with a leather case and a plastic cap to protect the shaver heads. It is a relatively expensive choice, but it's well worth the money for a comfortable shave with something I use every day.

Best electric shaver I’ve ever owned. Decided to buy this one after checking out many reviews and have not been disappointed. Very close shave for an electric shaver, great lasting charge and also very easy to clean. Very satisfied

Have been using a older model of Panasonic Arc shaver with 4 blades for the last 10 years or so. It was definitely getting old and beat up from travel. Bought this ARC5 model when it went on sale $100 off. It's definitely much quieter than my old ARC4. The shave is close and battery lasts over a week. One thing I had to get used to is the blade position design. There are 5 cutting blades: Two sets on either side plus one in the center for cutting any long ones that are laying down. The 2 sets of blades on either side of center do most of the work. The most outer blades cut the hair down to a level where the next blade over cuts it to skin level. This is different from my older version where these blades were swapped in these positions. I'm finding that the newer ARC5 is hard to get a smooth shave just under the nose and up to the side burns because the outer most blades on either side IS NOT the blade that shaves the closest. This means you have to work it in quite a bit around those areas to get a good close shave. I liked the older opposite design better. However all in all its a good shaver that cuts well to a smooth finish without causing any burn.

Works great- I moved to the Panasonic Arc5 from an older Braun. I researched electric razors quite a bit and landed on the Arc 5. I'm amazed how close it shaves and love the ease of cleaning it under the faucet. My Braun had a clean and charge station which worked great, but got really expensive constantly buying cleaning solution that evaporated. I've had the Arc 5 for about 2 months now and I love it. Plus its very reasonably priced. You can get newer versions of this razor for more money, but this Arc5 does everything I expect.
