Great electric razor, have used it wet and dry. Charges fast and holds charge a long time.

I bought this for my husband’s first Father’s Day gift and I wish I had given it to him sooner. Gone are the days of razor subscriptions and late night runs to the store for shaving cream when he has a last minute out of town meeting. Excellent quality and easy to use. Would absolutely buy again!

Battery is average and it has trouble with the stubble on my neck. Easy to clean. Charges fast. Overall not a bad shaver.

Ive had the Arc5 for several months now and have not had any issues with this shaver. Battery is great, charges fast, and provides a close shave. Its also very easy to clean, would definitely recommend.

BUY THIS RAZOR!!!! I don't normally leave reviews, but in this case, I felt I had to. My story; I've been a Braun user for the last 15 years. I thought there were no other razors out there as good as Braun, Man, was I wrong. I was a Braun Series 3 user for a long time. But the razor head screens keep breaking apart and disintegrating (a known problem with those razors). So after paying for new razor heads that failed prematurely, I decided to upgrade to a Series 5 with the ultrasonic cleaner which I had been currently using. But after less than 3 years of use the paint started peeling off the razor body near the razor head. Short story; Braun replaced the part only for the paint to peel again in less that 10 months. Time for a switch! I bought this razor with some skepticism since the price was a lot more reasonable than my Braun. Following that old adage, "you get what you pay for", floating around in the back of my mind had me semi-convinced this might be a mistake. It wasn't!!! This razor is quiet!!! And plows through my beard stubble as if it could be shaving 10 faces at the same time! My old Braun would hit thick beard (like my chin) and sound like it was bogging down like a lawn mower caught in thick grass about to die out. This Panasonic didn't skip a beat or even sound different. It also closely shaved areas of my face I would have go over and over again with my Braun. It doesn't leave my face irritated or skin hot from the shave. This is by far the closest shave I've ever had with an electric razor!!! Look out Braun!!! Bottom line: I like the shape of the razor, it's very quiet to use and the closest shave I've ever had. And the price point is perfect for me! I don't miss spending money on countless razor cleaner refills either. Thanks Panasonic!

This is a great electric shaver. I used to have an old Braun 8985 which was the best shaver ive ever owned. After years of use, I replaced it with the Braun 340s when it died out. The 340s only lasted half a year before breaking (and it wasn't a really great shaver to begin with, never did a good close shave but the trimmer was decent). So I decided to look for another top of the line shaver. The two top shavers as noted on multiple top 10 lists, and is highly reviewed on all retail sites were the Panasonic Arc 5 and the Braun 7 series. I ended up buying the Braun 7 series (the 797 to be exact, but the 790 is exactly the same without wet/dry function included). This was supposed to be the #1 shaver from what I researched. It had the highest reviews on most sites. I would say there was a lot good about it- Sturdy, sleek structure, felt very powerful. The problems I had was that it took many passes to get a clean shave, the motor felt erratic at times, and the trimmer did not sit right after a few weeks of use, meaning would have to constantly clean after use. So I returned it and went for my second choice. The Arc 5 had equally high reviews though just seemed to fall to second place on most lists, and I had never tried Panasonic before so I was hesitant. But comparing the two, I prefer the Arc 5. The shaver is very good. It feels a lot less powerful than the Braun, but for some reason gives a much faster cleaner cut for a thick beard. It also is soft to the skin (and it is softer in volume), a much less intense shave and for the better. The trimmer is about as flimsy as the Braun shaver, but at least it sits right without having to clean it after every use. The trim function is similar to Braun's but Im a little more pleased with its precision. I'm sticking with this one for the next few years. Hopefully it lasts. As for right now I'm very happy and would recommend for those with thick beards looking for a top of the line shaver. Hopefully Braun steps up it's game for future releases! Panasonic is my new fave.

I purchased this to make shaving easier, my career requires me to shave daily and this is a miracle. The shave is smooth wet/dry and it is down to the skin, you get a closer shave then a straight edge. I would purchase this again for 100-200$ no questions asked.

Very satisfied with the shaver. Nice smooth shave. A significant upgrade from the previous series of Panasonic shavers. Battery appears robust and affords many shaves between charges.

Great product: fast, convenient, easy to use! This is my 3 shaver in the last 5 years (I like to update for the latest and greatest) and will go back to a razor blade.

I have been using rotary electric shavers for over 30 years. A few years ago l started to get razor burns on my left cheek only. Thinking it was because my razor was old, l bought the most advanced rotary blade shaver and cleaning system on the market. I still got the same razor burns, extremely frustrating. After a lot of research I decided to try the Panasonic Arc5. This shaver gives me a wonderful close shave quickly with no irritation or razor burns. The handy pop up trimmer takes care of those pesky long whiskers quickly with out having to change razor heads. I didn't buy the cleaning system because a little soap and water cleans it just fine and I didn't use the fancy cleaning system on my last shaver because it was too cumbersome.

It's been years since I've had a panasonic shaver. The last one I had was not very impressive. It didn't shave very close and was not very powerful. I've been buying Braun shavers since. There quality has gone way down. So back to panasonic. It was well worth it. Very close shave and a powerful motor. Easy too clean. The only negative so far is it's a little loud.

My old Philips Norelco broke, I decided to try this one and I'm actually glad that it broke because this one shaved closer and much more smother than the Norelco!

I have used this thing daily for 7 months now. Single charge lasts about a week where each shave session takes about 2 to 3 minutes. The better life did not diminish at all after 7 months. It cuts very close and does not irritate my skin as much as the regular foam/razor affair. Also it takes shorter amount of time to shave compared to traditional razor. Also cleaning the machine is a breeze. And you do not need to buy a separate cleaning tool for this. Just need some liquid soap and warm water. It takes only 1 to 2 minutes to clean this thing.

This shaver gives a smooth shave. I like the case that comes with it to protect it when traveling. It recharges quickly.

With the floating head and lots of blades this razor gives me a real close smooth shave with one pass. No more having to go over the same area multiple times. The head locks if you prefer that and the pop-up trimmer works great to square off sideburns and trim close areas. It works wet or dry to give you the shave that you best prefer. It cleans easy and the display will show the charge level remaining so there are no surprises. You can even lock the switch so it won't inadvertently turn it off while shaving. Nice travel case too. All in all I really like this and would recommend it.

I really like the product because of how good the shave is and the battery life of the shaver. The only downside to it is since it's such a close shave it irritates the skin a little more than i'd like. Worth it, but worth noting if you have really sensitive skin.

I didn't expect such a smooth shaving! It's absolutely what I needed. Sometimes I don't have enough time for wet shaving even though I like it. I use it every 2-3 days in the morning, and it works perfectly. I didn't try it with long stubble, I doubt it can handle long facial hair. I recommend this shaver if you shave often, and expect smooth result in 10 minutes.
