Instead of adding a home phone I added a cell line and bought this set up to use like a home line. It works just as I hoped it would.

Needed this for my 87 year old mother. Flip phones were too small to see, and smartphones too difficult to operate. Just has a large enough screen on the desk phone for her to see the numbers and her contacts. And it's like the old phone you pick it up and dial the number.

For those that still need a landline, great phones. My wife likes the audio caller-ID function that tells you who is calling.

Nice basic set. For the price I think I could have found a better deal with at least four total sets (including main set). But didn't have a lot of time, needed phone quick for immediate installation.
