I plugged it in and called my daughter (who was in our front yard). She sounded like she was in a tunnel, and I could hear myself echo too. I am definitely not impressed!

It is recommended to place the base unit away from electronic appliances such as TVs, radios, personal computers, wireless devices, or other phones. I really like the large tilt-able lcd display on the base which allows me to see who's calling with ease. Transferring phone numbers from my cell to the phone is a breeze with the built in Bluetooth. Just pair your cell up to it and download your contacts into it. I really love the call block feature that gives blanket coverage to anonymous callers eliminating the hassle of having to hear their annoying messages. Panasonic is the only phone company that seems to get the message that we need call block in our telephone. I wish that their call block capacity were higher but 250 is the best I've seen yet on a telephone.

I contacted the company and did not receive a response. I think it has something to do with the Bluetooth or Econ modes. Either way, it wasn't the cheapest phone and should have met my expectations. I got rid of it. Dropping calls on a landline is stupid. Heard from friends who had the same problem with this phone.

Options to save messages, rewind, and delete are non existant. The operational use has been "dumb down" so much that it can't do basic functions of any simplified answering machine. Date and time functions to set are frustrating! I returned it immediately! I am really upset of the trend & effort to "dumb down" electronics.

Poorly made product

I had to use the cord off of my old phone. I expect the phone to last about 1 year - it is so very poorly made. Probably made in China -- but I guess nothing is made in USA anymore. So sad USA products are best.

Unclear sound on Answering Machine

Can hear inbound conversation; outbound side is corrupted and difficult to hear. Set-up and ease of menu navigation on desk unit is convoluted, not user friendly. Certainly expected more from this manufacturer.

GREAT Phone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I totally LOVE this phone! I needed a corded for the office, plus a new cordless in the kitchen. This more than met my needs! I got an AT&T one first, which had an issue with one of the handsets. Best Buy did my return in about 60 seconds! I found this one in the store and there is NO COMPARISON to the AT&T. This one has BIG letters/numbers on the digital readout of the desk/corded phone. I love that. And it stores 3000 numbers in the phone book, compared to 50 in the AT&T. The buttons are easier to push and I am in LOVE with the "call block" button (telemarketers). It's super easy to figure out how to set everything, as a matter of fact my 80+ yr old friend saw this phone and wants one for herself! The sound on the handsets is clear. I also like the 'silent' mode from late night until early morning. I wish it had a longer base-to-receiver curly cord, but I can use a different one. So far, this phone has exceeded every need in my home. Panasonic gets an A+ on this one.
