Fine performance, a few annoyances
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This device gives excellent performance, particularly with Ultra HD Blu-ray Discs: the picture is very detailed, and the audio (with Atmos) is amazing. The lack of front panel controls and a display is disappointing, and the GUI is complicated and confusing. In addition, the entire front panel opens to allow the disc tray to extend. Those things aside, the performance is exceptional, better than that of my Oppo -105.

Amazing Quality

Excellent playback

Not Three Times Better Than The Samsung

I have a Samsung TV and have had no issues whatsoever playing any discs. I'll be upgrading to the Oppo UDP-203 when it's released and it costs $50 less than this. Just don't see it.

Second problem with this player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this player in May 2017 to get a better picture than my 5 year old Sony. Within six months of getting it, the DVD movie I would play would pixilate and then stop and could not get it to continue. Not every DVD would do it but then in short order all would do it 2/3 through the movie. Replacement DVD did the same thing. Being out of warranty I contacted Panasonic. For $30 swap out charge they sent a new one. The player was not used for six months and everything was good starting in May 2018. Here we are in Sept. 2018 and after 5 months of flawless play the player will not play any movie without stopping . When these movies are put into my old Sony they play fine.
