The Panasonic ER-GB96-K is a highly portable, easy to use razor. Out of the box, accessories are sparse, due to the unique height-adjusting dial featured on this razor. There are three different height guides and one detail guide that come with it. The maximum trim length is 30 millemeters, or about 1.1 inches, with half-millimeter precision. The combination of attachments and height dial gives you a great level of flexibility to trim your beard to the exact length you desire, without flooding you in tons of wasteful plastic height guides you'll never use. The detail guide essentially gives you a near zero length guide that covers up 90% of the blade, making it easier to trim the edges or corners of your beard/mustache area without accidentally buzzing anything you didn't intend to. The manual it comes with gives a conversion chart from millimeters to inches, if needed. Besides the guides, it comes with a small brush for clearing out hair, a small bottle of lubricating oil, the charger, and a travel case. This razor can be wet or dry cleaned, and has an inlet hole on the body specifically designed to run water through to clear hair that may slip into the motor mechanism. The blade is friction-fit and can be easily removed without any tools for deep cleaning as well as lubrication, which the manual recommends doing before and after every shave. When using small drops, the lubricant it comes with should last a very, very long time. My beard is quite coarse and curly, and this product handled it easily. I never felt a single hair get snagged or tugged on, at any length setting I tried. It's light, with little vibration, and it's very quiet. Extremely easy to delicately maneuver, for whatever style of beard you wish to have. The only thing I dislike about it is the carrying case. It's really only big enough to fit the razor and a single guide. It would be fine for traveling, but it's just a bit annoying that you can't store all the accessories in it, if, like me, trimming is more of a monthly than daily or weekly occasion. The battery will likely last the duration of any shorter trips you take it on, and it can also be used while plugged in, which is something a lot of rechargeable devices of many types miss out on, for some reason. In all, I think this is an excellent option for anyone looking to keep a short to medium length beard trimmed and tidy.

I have a medium size beard that I have to trim in between visits to the barber. I have been using a beard trimmer for the last five years, especially when everything was shut down. The pros are: - This comes with 4 comb attachments that pretty much covers any length of beard and the fine detail attachment is perfect for those tough areas. I wish I had this with my previous trimmer. - This trimmer is very powerful, it cuts very easily without any tugs or snags. - The battery life is very good and it only takes an hour for a full charge. - The trimmer itself felt like it was solidly built. It has a nice weight and grip to it. It felt real comfortable in my hand. The only cons were: - The travel bag could have been a little bit bigger. If I am going to travel with this, I would like to be able to include one or two attachments. - I noticed that the blade gets real hot after each use. That is not a dealer breaker to me. - There should be some kind of indicator or warning so I know how much of the battery is left. Even though there were a couple cons, I still gave this five stars because I am very happy with this upgrade.

I have been sporting a beard for over 30 years and have had numerous trimmers in that time. This is an excellent trimmer. It is light weight and has a really good grip. It is also very quiet. The trimmer has 4 attachments for various lengths of beards and has an adjustment that trims from 1mm to 10mm in length. The attachments lock into place very well. The trimmer is easy to clean either by running under water or by removing the cutting blade and using the included brush. They also include oil to lubricate the trimmer. One of the best things is the charger that is an actual corded charger as opposed to a wall unit. It also comes with an actual owner’s manual that is very detailed which is something you don’t see often anymore. The trimmer includes a case for storage which is a great option. I do wish it came with a stand/holder but that is not a deal breaker. I keep my beard shortly trimmed and this trimmer does a great job. There is no pulling of the hair. I would definitely recommend this trimmer.

Very happy to have this Panasonic rechargeable beard trimmer for fast lightweight trimming of my facial hair on the go. It comes with 4 separate attachments perfect for different styles of hair and they attach very simply to the razor head. The way they attach is simply to slide into place over the razor head. Once attached they are able to be adjusted with the turn knob manual adjustment of varying lengths depending on your need. This adjustable knob allows many different lengths selectable form the lowest 1 mm up to 30mm. Also included in the box is the cleaning brush with a small bottle of lubricant and a small travel carry bag to keep all the attachments together and lastly operating instructions which rarely come with products now. This portable trimmer is able to be used wet or dry which is plus when manscaping in the shower. It feels very well built with the adjustable knob built into the handle for quick and easy adjustments. The handle has a nice texture and ergonomically fits very well in the palm of my hand. It is very quiet and does not vibrate as much as previous trimmers I've had in the past. The blades seem to be very sharp and spaced very nicely so that it doers pull on the coarse hairs of the face. The width of the blade is perfect for precision trimming of the face and the head if you so choose to use it for edging. The battery life appears to last for about a week of facial trimming and cutting before having to charge it fully. It only takes about an hour to charge to last for a week of use. Awesome product overall to keep looking good for the wife. Very happy with this trimmer.

It is a hair trimmer that simply works. Not much to say other than it is: - Light Weight - Quiet - Seeming long battery life - Waterproof (can use in the shower) - Does not pull hair - Has a water inlet to aid in rinsing - Does not nick my skin when using without the attachments The only things I am not a fan of: - Too many adjustments for me. The minute increments are unnecessary for me. - Proprietary charging cable. Which just means more wires dangling around that need to be wrapped and unwrapped to charge. Although it can be used corded (NOT in the shower) when completely drained which is a benefit in some cases. If you need superfine adjustments to prim your face, this shaver should have you covered. I will use to the attachments for the hair on my head to clean up any strays. I use it in the shower and I can quickly trim my beard and any other body hair that needs to be tamed. It is not a game changer in any regard, but it does not cause me pain when grooming myself so it is a keeper.

Rips out my hair. The blades move too slow and the trimmer rips out my hair. Even though it's fully charged it seems like the motor is weak. It starts slow and slows down after about 5 minutes. Barely cuts facial hair and mostly just rips the hair out of my face. It's really painful. I'm returning it.

I've used quite the variety of beard trimmers and nothing has compared to the Panasonic ER-GB96-K as far as the amount of cutting length settings ranging from 0.5 mm without any attachments all the way up to 30mm with the largest attachment, with 0.5 mm stops all along the way, giving you 58 different options, it's almost ridiculous. The trimmer is more than capable cutting through even the coarsest of hairs, but I wish it was a little faster as I did encounter some snagging, especially when using it without any attachments. I also wish it had a 0 mm blade so that I don't need two different razors to do a full beard trim for myself. The detail attachment is a nice addition if you want to trim just a small area of stray hairs without ruining your beautiful beard. This beard trimmer is pretty light but quite durable feeling and quite comfortable to hold. It's also one of the easiest trimmers to clean that I have ever seen. With a designed water opening to rinse out all those pesky hairs inside the trimmer, clean up is a breeze. Overall I think it's a pretty good trimmer that I would take traveling.

A very versatile, portable, and customizable beard trimmer. A great addition to any man's personal grooming tool kit. Ideal for sculpting and trimming beards of all or to any lengths. You'll see that my cons are not really about the performance of the trimmer, but rather with some of the features or accessories. Pros: - Can basically trim beards to any length between 0.5mm and 30mm (at half and whole mm intervals - 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, etc.). Note that the 10.5mm and 20.5 mm specific trimming intervals are unavailable and the 0.5mm interval is only if you don't use any of the comb or detail attachments. - Good build quality of trimmer. Feels solid in your hand and easy to maneuver. Good grip easy to hold. - Trimmer, blade, and combs are washable and easy to clean. Just run under water and let dry. Can also use the included cleaning brush to clear hair. Though this trimmer is not meant to be used on a wet beard. - Blade is removable. - Able to trim precisely and through all types of hair. My hair is on the thick side and I have no issues using this trimmer. It has yet to clog or snag. - The detail attachment is perfect for trying to trim in areas like around you lips or nostrils, as it basically covers half of the length of the blade so you do not accidentally trim unwanted areas trying to focus on other areas. - Ability to use corded or cordless. Cons: - The travel case does not fit all the accessories and parts that came in the box. It would be nice if they included a secondary/larger storage case that can fit everything and/or a stand that also works as a charging base. - A bit high maintenance. I find myself cleaning the trimmer after each use, but I do have thicker/darker beard hair. - Blade can get hot to touch after being on/in use for several minutes. - No visual cues to how much battery is remaining. User manual says that it can go 50 minutes on a full charge and it takes 1 hour to charge fully. - AC Adapter seems to be a special/proprietary unit to this specific trimmer. Would have been nice if it used USB-C or some other common type of port. I am a bald man who normally rocks a beard during the cooler months or a short to medium stubble in the warmer ones. I have been shaving my own head and trimming my own beard for some eighteen years since finally accepting my baldness. I use this insight as a preface to validate my foremost authority on good and bad trimmers. I have tested several Panasonic iterations over the years and typically I am a fan. There are other good trimmers on the market but for my taste, I feel that Panasonic just delivers a quality product at a fair market rate. Panasonic's newest iteration ER-GB96-K Rechargeable Beard Trimmer with four attachments is no exception. Out of the box, the most noticeable difference is the more superior design as opposed to its predecessors. The trimmer is sleek, clean, and almost elegant. The design is ergonomically pleasing to the hand and wrist. The attachable heads are a durable plastic but still quite breakable, be careful. Use of this Panasonic ER-GB96-K is fantastic. Immediately, I was able to distinguish and recognize the power of the motor as the blades quickly and easily sawed through my beard. Full disclosure, I had a full beard during the first test. During the first test though I used almost all fifty-eight settings to edge, sculpt, and then shave my beard. The edging is clean, not razor sharp but almost. The sculpting is where the magic happens. The select-a-trim dial is fun to play with and allows for some serious crafting. Then after patchworking my face, I shaved everything down to a short stubble using the dial and no guard. I also, evaluated the trimmer on other parts of my body too. Using a guard and the dial I found lengths that were great for different areas of body hair. One feature that is cooler than I am used to with a cordless battery-operated trimmer was that you do not have to be cordless. I will be pulling out other Panasonic trimmers I own and seeing if this is just something to which I was ignorant. Another feature, I like is the ability to rinse it under water. Hair brushes away easy enough but whiskers just stick to everything. All together Panasonic has made a winner. I really enjoy this trimmer and now use it almost daily.

This Panasonic beard trimmer should have most every length of beard covered. It comes with four attachments that include a detail trimming attachment and three comb attachments that allow for a total of 58 trimming lengths. Panasonic is not kidding when they say fine tuning with the quick adjust dial and the three comb attachments that range from .5mm to 30mm. The quality of the trimmer appears to be quite good with a comfortable feel and nice grip. In use, my husband was very satisfied with the performance of the trimmer and felt that the motor was quiet compared to other trimmers he has used. Panasonic indicates that this trimmer uses a Japanese blade technology and the results of a fast, precise trim seem to show their effectiveness. Additional options that are nice are the ability to trim wet or dry hair, washable blades and a waterproof body, ability to use corded or cordless, and a charge that lasts up to 50 minutes. Given the ability to charge in an hour I’d guess that most will find the cordless option to be preferred, but it’s nice to have the ability to use while charging should the need come up. The charge status lamp (LED display) is helpful since it indicates remaining battery power in cordless use and progress while charging the battery. The price is a bit higher than what we’ve paid for other trimmers, but I think the design, quality and performance justify it. For those who change beard lengths you can’t beat the flexibility this trimmer offers. My husband’s one suggestion was that he’d like to see the storage case increase in size as it won’t hold everything. Maybe two different sizes would be a nice addition at this price point; one for storage of all accessories and one for travel?

I've been on the hunt for a long time for a good beard trimmer. I did what a lot of beard-wearing folks did at the beginning of the pandemic...I stopped grooming! It was the perfect time to let it grow without worrying about regular maintenance and scraggly rogue hairs. There comes a time, however, where you have to clean up the ends and edges to maintain a healthy beard. The trimmers I've used up to that point were largely intended for folks with shorter facial hair, maybe under a half inch long in most places. This makes it difficult for guys with slightly longer beards, as the combs that typically come with such trimmers are inadequate for maintaining more than a "close" beard. Panasonic's washable trimmer provides 3 combs for lengths up to almost 1.25 inches, and the onboard dial provides the ability to dial in that trim to 20 lengths per comb. There is also a precision trimmer attachment for close up work. As my beard gets longer, I don't like "free-hand" trimming--I like the ability to rely on a comb, and the large comb works well for me. The precision dial on the body of the trimmer gives me security that pushing too hard on the comb won't result in "slipping" to a shorter setting. I like the overall design of the trimmer. It's a bit chunky, but not overly heavy and feels good in the hand. The way that the blades connect to the body minimize points of ingress for hairs, which makes brushing out the trimmer a lot easier. It can also be run under water to help with washing. The travel bag is a bit small and cheap. There's enough space for one comb (attached to the trimmer) and the detail head, but that's about it. I've paid at most $50 for trimmers in the past, and for the most part I've been happy with them. This trimmer retails at $84.99, but with the additional capabilities of precision control and easy cleaning, I wouldn't hesitate to spend the extra money here.

Very nicely and intuitively designed trimmer. Being able to use cordless is an important feature. Cleaning is simple, just run the blade end under water. There are 58 length settings utilizing 3 adapters, so you are sure to find the right trim for your beard, hair or mustache. Actually after a few times I had figured the adapter and settings to ensure my beard is handled the way I want, with a different setting for mustache and another different setting for soul patch. Great versatility. It also has a nice LED charging indicator and includes a very well written/complete manual. Quality is superb. The unit is solid and the design of the mechanism to control depth is very ingenious – tip of the cap to the engineers at Panasonic. Some key guidance from the manual is to apply oil before and after each use. Also remove the blade and let it dry separately. They do include a small cleaning brush and it was simple to keep the unit clean and well maintained – very convenient. I have used several other brands and found this device to be the most effective and quickest to get my beard in shape. More to the point my beard is a little curly so some brands don’t make it as even as I want. But this shaver really evens out the whiskers – great. I would highly recommend this versatile, quality and effective trimmer.

I keep my beard trim; short, but not short enough to be scratchy to someone else. The ER-GB96-K is perfect for me. Starting with the charger, the Panasonic charged quickly and easily, and seems to hold a charge for well over a month. Operation is very quiet, which is appreciated by the person still sleeping when I get ready. I have three other beard trimmers, all of which require swapping of blade guards to adjust the height. The Panasonic has both interchangeable blade guards and a dial for fine adjustments. This allows me to adjust the height on the fly - shorter where the hair is denser, such as sideburns, longer where it's a little more thin, such as the chin. I can easily remove the guard to form a straight trim line, and I find that the edge is better defined than with my other trimmers. Cleaning is simple, as the guard is easy to remove and the entire unit is waterproof. Whiskers do accumulate under the guard a bit more than with my other trimmers, so the cleaning ease is much appreciated. Travel is easy with the long charge and enclosed pouch, and once you find the guard that fits your needs, there's no need to pack them all. Overall, this is an outstanding beard trimmer. I highly recommend it.

This is just simply a very nice and well-designed piece of equipment. It’s well made, compact, rechargeable, and comes with more adjustments than I could imagine. In the box, you’ll find the trimmer, three comb adapters, a precision trim adapter that covers part of the head, the charger, a bush, lube oil, and a carrying case. It may seem that only three different comb lengths for trimming are limiting, but Panasonic came up with a clever way to make your choices nearly unlimited. There’s a dial on the unit with 19 settings to change the length in increments of about half a millimeter. I think that should satisfy the fussiest of users. It also makes it very quick and easy to make changes. The overall length range is from 1mm to 30mm. The comb ranges are 1-10mm, 11-20mm, and 21-30mm. It trims great with zero pulling. It’s almost infinitely adjustable, lightweight, and has a precision and quality feel. You can quickly clean it with water, and/or use the brush. If you keep it clean and lubricated, it should be a precision trimmer for a long, long while. It checks off all the boxes for me.

I really like the design of this trimmer. There are 3 different ranges on the attachments that are adjusted by a wheel in the center of the handle. Attachment 1 is 1-10 mm, 2 is 11-20 mm and 3 is 21-30 mm. The adjustment nob is in a place you won't easily change the length unless you want to. Changing the attachments are as easy as sliding off and on. Adjusting the length is rotating the dial to desired length in association with the attachment. The blade cuts clean and no pulling of hair. Very quiet compared to other trimmers I have used. There is also a extra attachment for "precision trimming" that is actually a slick design with a sheath that covers part of the trimmer that slides from side to side so either the right or left portion of the trimmer is exposed to cutting. Additionally there is a case, oil and charging cord in the packaging. The trimmer will work corded or cordless. You can rinse the trimmer under running water to clean it. So far I am not seeing a need for using water yet, but it is good to know. I really like this trimmer and recommend it.

This is the best beard trimmer on the market in my opinion. It is versatile and does a great job. The attachments make this easy to keep a neat and trimmed beard without guesswork. I have a fairly light beard compared to most, but it is still difficult to keep it from becoming shaggy and unmanageable. There are multiple levels with this trimmer, so I can choose the length that I want my beard and it trims accurately and smoothly. I typically use it with a number 4 setting when trimming my beard. There are never any variances in the length and it looks like a professional shave. With 58 length settings, this will work for almost any look or style of beard. When I want the rugged look, I simply remove the attachments and it gives me the stubble look without chapping my face. I almost always use this first before going for a clean shave, as this does most of the work. The unit holds a charge for a long period of time and recharges quickly. It does come with a storage case, but I wish it was larger, but then it would be more difficult to store.

I admit it, I am what some would consider "OCD" about my beard. It has to have perfect lines. A single hair out of place makes me break out in a cold sweat. Yep, I'm a weirdo. Previous products to trim my beard would leave me having to either go back and doing it manually (with a straight razor), or with tweezers. Length continuity is also very important to me. I took the time to grow it, so it should be able to be displayed in all of its majestic glory. In comes the Panasonic ER-GB96-K trimmer. WOW. That was the first thought upon un-boxing the Panasonic ER-GB96-K trimmer. It looks great and feels great in my hand. The Panasonic ER-GB96-K trimmer feels very solid but not too heavy. Nothing about it feels cheap, or like it will fall apart in your hand at any moment like other brands' trimmers. The included accessories also are of very high quality and I have no doubt in regards to their longevity. So what all comes with the Panasonic ER-GB96-K trimmer? You get three "Long hair" beard comb attachments that actually *STAY ON THE TRIMMER*!! - along with another detailing attachment (which makes my Beard OCD very happy). Operation of the Panasonic ER-GB96-K trimmer could not be any simpler, just dial up your desired length from the 58 (Yes, I said FIFTY-EIGHT) available length settings (from 1-30mm) or if you get the "ultimatum" from your girlfriend/wife - take off all the attachments and zero out the dial - leaving you with a very close 0.5mm "bye bye beard" setting. I constantly shave my head (since covid) and this setting has helped me with that task as well. Unlike my old trimmer, the Panasonic ER-GB96-K trimmer does not feel like it is tearing out my whiskers when I trim my beard. Instead it gives me a sensation that I have never had before. That being, I am using a precision trimming device! I appreciate the fact that this is a wet/dry trimmer. However, I do not utilize it when my beard is wet as I feel like a more accurate trim (in general) is obtained when my beard is dry. However, the ability to use it wet may be for *cough* other areas (???) possibly, maybe. Battery life is fantastic at just about an hour constantly run. I have my Panasonic ER-GB96-K trimmer on my vanity in the master-bath, so it is a constant fixture, always plugged in. But, I am glad when traveling I have the peace of mind knowing it will have enough "juice" to get the job done. All in all, I am very pleased with the Panasonic ER-GB96-K trimmer. It is part of my daily routine and it should be part of yours too!

The Panasonic ER-GB96-K Rechargeable Beard Trimmer is a very versatile and high-quality beard trimmer that can replace all of your other trimmers due to the fact that it provides such a vast range of trim lengths while providing a nice, precise trim regardless of the length setting used. Between the 3 adapters and the oddly satisfying quick-adjust dial, you really can obtain a clean, precise trim length anywhere from .5MM (the length with no attachment) all the way up to 30MM using the largest attachment and highest setting on the quick-adjust dial. This wide range of lengths is what makes this such a versatile trimmer and on top of that, it is very easy to use and clean after use. I like how it is designed with a water inlet at the base of the blade for easy rinsing after less intensive trims but it is also easy to remove the blade for a deeper cleaning when needed. All of this results in being able to truly achieve smooth barber-style results without having to visit the barber so if you are looking for a versatile beard trimmer that offers a wide range of trim lengths, you can’t go wrong with this Panasonic ER-GB96-K Rechargeable Beard Trimmer and I highly recommend it!

I’ve only ever had 2 beard trimmers in my lifetime. This one by far is superior to the old Remington one I had previously. It comes with 3 clip guards that attach to the trimmer. Small, Medium & Large. It also comes with a piece that has clip guard to block off either the right or left side. I think this is for trimming your mustache but I could be wrong. I found using the bare trimmer for trimming my mustache worked better. It also comes with a cord for charging, a small brush for cleaning the trimmer, oil, and a carrying case. Also instructions and a limited warranty. It worked for me right out of the packaging, but instructions indicated an hour for charge time. Where this went above and beyond for me was with the dial on the handle that rotates by mm to adjust for precision trimming. This is crazy to me but crazy in a good way. The item already comes with 3 different ”standard” clip guards for your beard, but your also telling me I can adjust by millimeters to the proper size I prefer? That’s wild and some real dedication. I definitely appreciate the options from Panasonic. I have no complaints with this item and have no issues recommending this item to other buyers.

I have used a lot of shavers over the years and up until Panasonic's offering, I had been using the ubiquitous green-theme flat shaver that everyone sells - everywhere. That was my go to but Panasonic's shaver has dethroned the green one. I really like having four shave guards to choose from and if that is not enough, you can dial-in a more custom length using the click dial in the center of the shaver. That is it's killer feature (if a shaver can have a killer feature) That, and the battery is a Panasonic battery which is synonymous for high quality. I have been using Panasonic products for over 20 years and they withstand more use than most other brands. The battery will last through around seven trims at about 7 min a trim. Plenty of time really. You only will need a recharge around the 3 week to a month range depending on usage. I don't trim my beard everyday so my battery mileage is at the one month mark. Shaver is very well-made and feels premium to me. It's also very waterproof so you can trim in the shower if you want.
