Bought on Dec 3 and not getting until after the 27can give a review if I don’t have the item

Quit working after 2 weeks. Reset everything to factory settings, worked for a day, then quit recording again. I don't know if this was a bad unit, but it's the worst camcorder I've ever had.

Not a good camera for live casting Church services, just go for the canon $2000 one theres a reason why they are expensive.

Not even 3 months old and gets stuck in a mode and won’t record. Can’t turn off, record, worst purchase I’ve made .

Messing the charger and missing the chip. I cannot try it did not have a charger.

My camcorder was 7 years old so I decided to upgrade to this one. I researched and researched and felt that this was the best way to go. I was surprised that there weren't more reviews on this one but after looking on other sights all I saw was positive things. I'm really happy with my purchase. I bought this camcorder on sale for $499 and it was totally worth it. I actually only set It for 720 (to save space and it plays back better off the hard drive) and it looks wonderful on my 55 inch hdtv. I highly recommend this camcorder.

Bought this for my 17 year old who is beginning to show an interest in film making. Will circle back after 6 months with more info.

Good camera, in general. The quality is decent. Not great, and not even that good. Just decent. I recently sold mine on eBay and bought the Panasonic DC-ZS70 instead. If you want to do still videos for Youtube, etc., you probably don't need a camcorder. The biggest issue with this camcorder is no 4K, and if you upgrade to the 4K version of this, it will be another $150. The DC-ZS70 has 4K, a flip up screen, and is $297 brand new. It's between a point and shoot and a DSLR/mirrorless. I was going to get a G7, but since I'm still new to videos, the DC-ZS70 with 4K was a better choice for now, and much better quality, in my opinion, than this. It just seems that this camcorder tries but doesn't really make it.

This is a total waste of money! I used it 4 times over 3 months and it has stopped working! The record button turns on, but doesn't actually record and then won't shut off. I have to take the battery out to even get the lens to close. Sadly I didn't purchase the warranty and it's too late to return, so I'm out $600 (yeah, I bought it at full price). DO NOT BUY THIS!

Nothing in the advert mentions that the HC-V770 was manufactured in 2015 (six years ago), and that desktop software that accompany the product would not work well with most Window 10 computers. I particularly bought this camcorder in order to live stream our weekly meetings, for members who cannot physical attend, only to find out that Panasonic had stopped the LUMIX CLUB support for this model, without mentioning it on their website. Note: the Panasonic LUMIX CLUB service enables the live streaming function of the camcorder

I used this camera to film my child's games -- for a total of approximately 15 hours. 2 1/2 months after purchase, the camera gives "Error occurred please turn off and on again" when trying to record. No buttons respond at all after that. Since camera practically new, thought Best Buy would help --- they kept it for two weeks, then called me to pick it up unrepaired because parts needed to repair are no longer available. Best Buy (Geek Squad) gave me the faulty camera, Panasonic's number, and said good luck. Panasonic requires I mail camera to them (no help from Best Buy) to evaluate for another 10 to 14 days. Still waiting to hear back. So much for capturing video of my child's games. The season ends by then... Don't recommend this camera or Best Buy.

Nothing bad to say about the camera itself, but what really irritated me was that I purchased this particular camcorder because the specs on the best buy site said "HDMI and USB 2.0 interfaces For high-speed video transfer. USB streaming capability allows the camcorder to function as a webcam." Wrong answer. I could not get it to work as a webcam (which is what I really need) so I went to the Panasonic support site and low and behold it says that it cannot be used as one, so I had to purchase a $100 capture device to make it work. Very disappointed in Best Buy.
