I bought this to record my son’s graduation and about 45 min into the program it shut off despite it being fully charged. I was really disappointed because that’s why I had bought it. I had no idea the charge would last such little time. Will be getting another Sony. My Sony is 18 years old and still works but battery is so old it doesn’t hold the charge for too long 30 min max.

Great for Familiy Videos

Can't completely turn off audio during recording when you want to use a separate audio source. The on-screen menus are not as intuitive as they should be.

So-so camcorder

Had a great open box offer and bought it. The camcorder is light. The menu is easy to navigate and has multiple options. Has an AVCHD and MP4 which is a plus. I returned the camcorder because the video was soft and no matter how much I tweaked the settings the quality didn't improve.
