Even with hearing aids, I was unable to understand messages on the answering machine. But a call from Canada was loud and clear. With my hearing reaching the Severe label, I decided to go with an amplified phone with more settings. This phone would probably be fine for those with normal hearing.

Reliable over 25 years

They are reliable for about three years each and then various bugs (e.g. headsets holding their charge for shorter times) begin to emerge. How long I keep them before replacing them depends on my patience. Anyway, all the features work reliably for the initial three years.
