Half of the time I don’t even hear the phone ringing. I missed some of my calls. I am just not satisfied with the performance.

Please plug out the line cable and the AC adaptor from the base for about 40 seconds and then plug them all back in. We advise you to make sure the ringer is turned on by pressing MENU on the handsets, then the key "#" and enter code 160. Hope this helps! -C

The new one is easy to set up and program. Unfortunately, the static is so horrible, it's very difficult to understand the person on the other end of the line. Best Buy won't take it back because I didn't try to return it within the first 2 weeks (we were out of town). I'm hoping Panasonic will let us exchange. It's a lot of money to have spent for a phone you can't use.

If you are hearing static on your phone, reception breaks in and out or experiencing humming noise on the background while using your cordless phone, it might be caused by a transmission or electric interference, noise can also come from the phone lines, it would be best to locate the source of the interference first and a simple method of determining this would be to verify if static is heard on your other set of phones aside from the Panasonic.
You can also try to relocate or plug the Panasonic phone to a different area where there is less interference.

This range may be influence by other electronics close the the base unit or thick walls, depending on the material. We would advise placing the base unit further away from other electronics to avoid interference that may affect the range. - S
