Worked great. Menus were reasonably straight forward. The new one has 3 times more features, but everything is buried in multi step access. My wife, who hates technology, gets frustrated trying to do simple things. It does work great. The review forces one to recommend/not recommend. I would not hesitate to recommend it to those who are technically savvy.

Decent house phone set

The setup was pretty easy and simple. The only issue is one phone has now started making a buzzing noise but otherwise they work fine.

If you are hearing static on your phone, reception breaks in and out or experiencing humming noise on the background while using your cordless phone, it might be caused by a transmission or electric interference. Noise can also come from the phone lines, it would be best to locate the source of the interference first and a simple method of determining this would be to verify if static is heard on your other set of phones aside from the Panasonic. We also recommend relocating the Panasonic phone to a different area where there is less interference. If you are subscribing to DSL/ADSL service, it is recommended to use a DSL filter. Most DSL/ADSL service providers would have the filters available for their subscribers, you may also check out your local electronic stores for availability. -M

Seem like iy needs recharging very frequently, sometimes once a day. Delivery was a nightmare. Phones went back and forth twice. Once to New York State and then New Jersey. It took over two weeks to get the package.

Didn't realize it was a discontinued model, as it was sold as new. The batteries don't hold a charge very long. Best buy wouldn't do anything. I only asked for new batteries. Panasonic was no help either. They wanted me to send everything back to them to check it out. Then they might do something. This will be my last Panasonic phone.

Please be informed that when purchased as new, the unit has a manufacturer warranty of one-year mail-in service repair, applied from the moment of purchase, including the batteries that came with the phone system. Additionally, ensure the phone system is using compatible batteries, which are Nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH), 2 x AAA (R03) size for each handset. -C

They worked as expected and meshed with my existing phone system easily. Needed none of the many extra features but the instructions looked daunting.
