We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We recommend checking if the voice messages have been recorded by the answering machine of the system instead. You can check that by pressing PLAY button on the main unit. Please also check if you have a voicemail feature from your provider as well which could have recorded the messages instead. Useless Keypad

We thought this would allow us to enter numbers while listening to the handset ( to tell us what numbers to enter). It doesn't work this way. Unless the system is in speakerphone mode, the keypad on the base unit does not work. So there is no real advantage over the more compact versions with no keypad on the base unit. We may return it.
