If the reception breaks in and out or experiencing humming noise on the background while using your cordless phone, it might be caused by a transmission or electric interference, noise can also come from the phone lines, it would be best to locate the source of the interference. We recommend you to check with the provider and to try to relocate or plug the Panasonic phone to a different area where there is less interference. If you are subscribing to DSL/ADSL service, it is recommended to use a DSL filter. Most DSL/ADSL service providers would have the filters available for their subscribers, you may also check out your local electronic stores for availability. Won't work at all on another floor level. A handheld will not call cellphones but will call a landline. A poor investment. Unfortunately, we waited too long to try this set out due to a hospital surgery in the family. We are using this with a home wireless base. This may cause a weaker signal. I do not know. I just know it doesn't work.

You will have to charge the phones for 7 hours.
Once the charging is done you will be able to use them:
In continuous use 10 hours max.
Not in use (standby) 5 days max.

If you are hearing static on your phone, reception breaks in and out or experiencing humming noise on the background while using your cordless phone, it might be caused by a transmission or electric interference, noise can also come from the phone lines, it would be best to locate the source of the interference first and a simple method of determining this would be to verify if static is heard on your other set of phones aside from the Panasonic.

Posted .Hi, Anne! The estimated battery life is 1 year, however it depends mainly on how often you are using the phone. The batteries can be changed when they stop holding a charge. The compatible batteries are HHR-4DPA. -M
