The volume control only changes the sound level of the ring! The manual is for about 8 different product IDs. But the product ID of the product I received was not on the list. It appears that Panasonic may be creating so many product IDs that they are having problems matching them up with the right products. The system was supposed to have (or at least that was what I assumed from reading all the different descriptions) support for T-coil hearing aid connection. But the instructions have no information about this - only a comment that it is supported on all headsets with a certain label. Of course, that label is missing from all the headsets.

good landline phone

For those in the know, this Panasonic cordless phone system does all that is needed for not a bad price. The main unit and the cordless unit have a small footprint so a lot of space, on say a kitchen counter, is not needed. This replaces a cordless system that was many years old...it is nice that this system plays an incoming call on the cordless phone as well as at the base unit.

We needed a phone that contained an intercom and we could talk to each other as well as being able to hold conference calls.
