Love it! Excellent picture & sons Combined with my Marantz & LG G4 !!!

I am using this player for the UHD capabilities and the object based audio. It doesn't disappoint. Even though I am using a 1080p projector there are adjustments and tweaks that can be made at the player level to optimize the picture of non-4k and non-HDR display. It features an HDR conversion for non-HDR capable displays as well, a nifty feature for those with projectors or older TVs that don't have the technology. Only downside is that it 'froze' during playback of some blu-ray discs that my Oppo happily played. I suspect that it may be a disc error since the freezing occurs at the same stop on the disc. If you don't want to mess with the advanced set-up, there is an Easy Setup available. Either way, you'll be in very capable hands with this player.

Didn't recieve it but managed to buy elsewhere and it is a masterful Midrange 4k player.

I heard great things about this player from many trusted sources. I decided to buy it over a Sony at the similar price point. I didn't like the fact with Sony you have to switch over to Dolby Vision manually. I watched Aqua-Man and this player auto switched for me. I can't hear the motor spinning disc so it is great feature. One other feature I like is you can enhance HDR brightness from the player. It also has analog RCA plugs, my stereo system is old.

Installed this past week. (We couldn't find outlet!) Tested with a DVD tour of a volcano in Hawaii. Picture quality is excellent. Very large unit.

Excellent player. First bought a Sony X700, but having to toggle Dolby Vision on/off was a nuisance, and the LG UBK90 isn’t compatible with my Sony OLED. One slightly less obvious benefit to a player being able to turn on Dolby Vision automatically is that some discs do actually contain DV but don’t make it clear on their packaging.

Had the UB 9000 but returned it due to intermittent problems. Bought the UB 820 to replace it. Other than the superior build quality of the UB 9000, the UB 820 does everything the 9000 does for $500 less. The picture and ability to upgrade from a regular bluray to 4K picture quality are superior.

Excellent upscaler. Sleek appearance. The ONLY difference between this model and the DMP-UB900 is you pay 500 more for 2 DACs instead of 1 which theoretically would yield better sound for MUSIC that 99% of the people would not hear the difference anyway. For movie buffs, this is the sensible, best price-point selection. Bought one, read the specs on the 900 and bought another of these instead for LG OLED. Very satisfied.

Great 4K DVD player. Picture quality is fantastic, easy set up to tv and sound bar. Love that can adjust picture to liking and discovered if have to stop a movie for some reason it remembers even after removing it, it will ask if want to resume from where it stopped when reinserting it. No problems with any dvd I’ve tried so far. Overall nice

Great product. It skips once in a while on newer 4K disks but all do these days, but the picture is right up there with $1000 players. Strongly recommended,

One of the best players for sound and picture quality from your disc. Not so great for streaming and apps. The apps are very limited and very slow.

I recently purchased a 65" LG OLED W18 and got the Samsung Blue Ray player. However, after only a week, I was very disappointed in the samsung player. I returned it and upgraded to the Panasonic. I love it. The sound is much better and the streaming has more options.

After reading many reviews on other 4k players I finally decided to pick this one and honestly I'm glad I did. This player starts right up and the set up is extremely easy and fast. The App Store isn't really anything to be impressed by but I wasn't getting it for that. Picture is extremely awesome and clear. The first 4k movie I put on was Avengers Infinity War and the colors are vibrant and you can see more detail in the movie than in a regular bluray. I would definitely purchase again and recommend it to anyone.

Great player wish I bought it sooner I’ve always been the type to buy digital then last year I got my C1 and my denon 3700 and added this along with an Audioquest hdmi and the picture and sound quality is amazing it doesn’t compare to digital content at all and I use to use Apple TV 4K so if your on the fence about getting a player this os the one to get

Excellent player. Remote needs to be back lit. Very hard to see in a dimmed room. Streaming is good but needs more apps available for my other services.

Just received this item yesterday. I've watched several movies on this to see if there were any issues with different formats of disks. 4K UHD Blu-ray is where I'm having issues. This device will freeze and glitch out and random, to the point of the movie showing green and red lines and then going back to the start menu. It's nuts. When it works, it's amazing! But for this amount of money, there shouldn't be any skipping or stopping when playing the disks it was created for. I've been pretty frustrated with this thing to say the least. All my disks are brand new, no damage to them, but for some reason, the player will glitch out on every single one of them. Brand new certified high speed hdmi cables, brand new Qled TV, the whole works. But this Panasonic will be going back to the store.. The picture quality is an upgrade over my Xbox One S, but at least the Xbox didn't skip or glitch out.

Or should I say, the man who wants nothing. Normally, I would not buy electronics for my husband. He is very picky and tight lipped when he does want something. However, my son was able to wheedle out of him that he wanted this 4K Blu Ray player. Best Buy pricing was comparable to other sites and the buy online pick up in store was very helpful. The player itself was slightly challenging to hook up but eventually the deed was done. Husband very happy with performance of this device.

Excellent player that worka great. It is sleek and compact. The picture quality is very nice. It was at a great price.
