Bought this as an open box in “good” condition. Player was in excellent shape. No scratches anywhere on the player. Watched numerous disks on it and no problems. So far I do not have any regrets.

Wow just wow is all I can say. I was using my Xbone S as my player and it looked good and I was happy but I took a leap after reading reviews about this unit and man am I glad I did. There IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE HUGE. not only in the picture but also in audio. I was looking at the Sony 700 but this unit has the ability to address HDR darkness and adjust it in a way my TV can not. Do yourself a favor and get one you will not be disappointed that I can promise. Its really good with 4k movies but when It comes to 1080p blurays its really inconsistent

You cannot beat this for picture quality and the sound is great too. I had numerous playback issues with my older Sony X800 and decided to try the newer X800M2 but it had same issues. Shame because I love Sony products but this player blows theirs away! There are so many settings on this and I cannot wait ti get mine just right. The HDR option button is great for basing on the mount of lighting and time of day in your room. Great value! Great job Panasonic!!

Great player for the money, top of the line player for reasonable dollar.

Bought this Blu Ray player to replace 3 components as things began to get a bit cluttered. My old Blu Ray player was out dated and cheap, Decided to buy the Panasonic to replace my CD player and Fire Stick as well. The picture quality is superb, CD's sound great, and it streams videos on Netflix and Amazon Prime much better than the Fire Stick. Very Happy!!

The picture quality is excellent. I was sorry to learn Samsung stopped selling 4K Blu Ray players. The one I bought five years ago expired. Panasonic has set a new standard for quality. Even my DVD’s look much better than before. It was a little more then I wanted to pay but I want disappointed in any way. The remote is easy to use.

Loads a little slow but the picture is really good. The colors are deeper on this player vs my old one.

Supports Dolby Vision and Atmos perfectly (and HDR10). Lots of configurations to make your movies and audio the best possible. Quiet operation.

Overall this is an amazing device. It pairs well with my 4K LG. The sounds and colors are excellent. There seems to be a large amount of video/audio customization that I haven't even scratched the surface. A lot of opportunity for enthusiasts to really get the best out of their system. If you have the budget for it, this Blu-Ray Player offers great value at it's price.

This is a top-notch video player. From DVDs to 4K HDR my collection movies look and sound excellent. The streaming function here is more limited. While there is a web browser which holds out the possibility of streaming from services not included in the standard apps, I experienced significant stop and go issues with, for example YouTube-TV. My LG smart TV is far superior for streaming.

Great machine. On thing is that when you pause it doesn’t give time info on the screen, you have to hit a separate button for that info. My AV remote does all the basic functions, but your not sure where you are in a move without using the Panasonic remote. Not a bit issue, but I have to keep one more remote out just for that. Other than that, it is an awesome machine

I upgraded from an inexpensive player and am impressed. I had just completed watching Dune on my old player which would freeze after about 1/2 hour and need an init to continue - ugh! The movie was head and shoulders better on this player video and audio wise, not to mention it doesn't freeze. It's a bit slow on the boot up and disc init, but worth the price!

When it is working it is stellar picture, but this player is very buggy. Most of the time will not read disk. Or when watching a 4k disk instead of displaying HDR, its showing in SDR. Have to unplug or reset the player in order to have this working. Disk also skips, but nothing is wrong with the disk. Play yhe sam disk in my lg 4k player or xbox series x, no issues.

This player fits the bill. It does Dolby Vision and HDR and will switch automatically. The HDR optimizer is perfect for OLED sets which can't hit the same maximum brightness that LCDs can. There are a fair number of items that can be configured so I'm not sure it's for the beginner but it's great for those who like to tweak.

Beautiful Blue-Ray Player. Purchased to go with my new LG 66" 4K. Purchased the player along with some of my favorite Blue-Ray disks. Easy to install and connect. No problems on set up, worked as described. Lots of nice reviews on the net for this device and I read most of them before jumping in. Not disappointed in this product, very glad I purchased it. Beautiful picture quality with no hangups.

This is an excellent Blu-Ray 4K DVD player and pairs extremely well with my Samsung QD OLDED 65' TV and Samsung HW-900A Soundbar. I have an older version of this player because my older TV is a Samsung 3D Plasma 55" which was a great TV and still is.

It does a fantastic job upgrading blu ray to 4K. The HDR optimizer is a great tool . Have to play around with it to get the best picture. The sound is much better for some reason. I don't know if the blu ray player is decoding prior to sending to the reciever but I can hear the difference. It also does 3D and dolby vision

I know physical media is falling out of favor in brick and mortar stores (ahem Best Buy) but I still love discs. This Panny is probably the benchmark unit these days, and for all the problems I had with an LG 4k player this UB820 is spot-on perfect. No disc playback issues, primarily with those finicky 4k discs. Amazing picture and sound....

This is the best 4K UHD player on the market. Stop wasting time researching other players and purchase this blindly -- have used it for 6 months almost daily and not a single issue. The only issue is the remote is absolutely horrible, but can be fixed by purchasing a simple $10 remote from Amazon.
