Netflix HDR videos look much better using app in this player than using Roku Netflix app in TV. When providing input to this player from an external source such as a harddrive, only a short list of formats are recognized by this player which means your have to purchase software that can convert to an acceptable format which can be time consuming. If you want to watch a video using slow mo or frame by frame advance, this player does not appear to have capability to do that when the source is an external drive.

Very sharp quality picture on a 4k tv. Plenty of features that makes this unit for playback and other streaming options.

This has almost everything a near top end player should have. The support of HDR and DV produces stunning pictures on my OLED display. I think the menus are good and I would have liked a back lit remote. While I would not use it, the lack of an HDMI input for other accessories is what the top end units have. So far it is awesome.

Awesome blue ray player! Had to come up to this model for the Dolby Vision.

This is the best 4k blu ray player for the money. Plays 4k movies my LG 4k blu ray player has trouble with. Has analog audio out puts, but won't output HDMI digital audio and analog at the same time. This is a problem for my Onkyo Tx-sr805 receiver. The receiver needs analog audio for zone 2 and 3.

Best player I have ever owned. Upgraded from an LG 4k player and very noticeable difference in picture quality. Also eliminates the dreadful manual change for Dolby vision content

Cannot beat the performance on this thing. I bought both this and the 420 and 420 started stuttering and had white dots on the screen while playing a blue ray. This one was flawless. But get a high quality HDMI 2.1 supporting cable if you want to play the dolby vision stuff. The remote looks cheap but is usable.

Had a Sony X800M2 that started having problems reading old DVDs. Got the Panasonic UB820K hoping to fix this. It does load faster and played some of the DVDs so we were happy. Plays 4k like a dream. Just use it to play discs. The new audio formats supported are great on our 7.2.2 surround system.

Not cheap but better than my Xbox by quite a bit. Really like the features and the picture quality is much improved along with the audio. If you own discs the upgrade in quality it gives makes this buy worth it.

Great picture, great sound. Hdr optimiser is a game changer.

The Blu-ray was on sale but still cost $400. The reason I opted to spend this much on a plastic box I needed an optical audio feed for the sound system. I could not find a less expensive Blu-ray that had an optical connection. The electronic voice help is odd but not a big deal. Over priced but the unit works well and easy to use.

My old Samsung Blu-ray player stopped working so i asked the Magnolia guys what they recommended. I started out expensive, but I got a little off the top plus I used the $200 gift card I got with the purchase of the S22 Ultra. I cannot say enough good things about the picture produced by this machine! plain old 4k Blu-ray is great, but go to YouTube, and it is awesome! perfect detail and colors in 4K, but you can also play 8K(!) videos and the picture gets even better! All this on a 6year old Sony 930D! Very classy looks with a motorized cover and very nice display. tried to add apps like Disney and HBO gave up quickly, so far. I'd say this is state of the art, except Panasonic's top of the line is $1000.00! I Really Love this player and recommend it highly! (BUT-the remote is a disappointment-hard to grip with buttons that feel the same so you keep kicking yourself out of YouTube and into Netflix by mistake-will be xferring operation to my Harmony remote.)

Every feature works perfectly. Spend the money and you will not be disappointed. Connects to the Internet seamlessly. The intuitive setup menu is easy to understand and use. There was no problem connecting to the TV or the AVR receiver. Wishing all new electronic equipment would work as well as this Panasonic Blu-Ray Player.

Upgraded from my Sony ubp-x700. Best choice I ever made. Plays well with multi layer disc, and quieter too. Pairs well with HDMI-2, smart tv, and surround sound setup.

If you're nit picky about the little things and want higher quality at the same time then this is the one for you. It has enough settings to customize your viewing and sound experience. Picture looks amazing and even has brighter colors than from what I've noticed on other 4k players. Definitely worth the extra money because it exceeds expectations!
