The picture contrast is great ! I'm not sure if I could pay 500 for it. I got it on sale for 400 and feel that is the right price. I upgraded from the Sony x700 and there definitely was a big boost on picture quality on the majority of the 4k blurays.

Unbelievable picture on my lg 55 c9 oled. The interface is a little glitchy however, hopefully future firmware updates will fix that. But I have never seen a better picture at home. Sound is excellent as well. Many options to tweak settings.

I've had it for about two weeks and really like it. The video/audio quality of blu-ray movies is great. The only issue I've have is, I decided to pop in some of my CDs and they sound horrible. Streaming Tidal or even YouTube videos through my Roku sound a lot better.

Best way to look at it if is worth the money, 1) What would you pay for an entry level player? $225. 2) This model costs $425, so subtract the $225 from that it gives you $200. 3) Are you willing to pay $200 for a 4K blu ray player that makes HDR 10 titles look the best they can with HDR optimizer, and makes DVD looks the best they can? I would say yes. Assume you own this 4 years you are paying $50 a year, or about $4 a month for that. I would call that a bargain.

This is head and shoulders better than the Sony equivalent player for this one reason. The Panasonic automatically switches between Dolby Vision and HDR. The Sony you have to switch every time depending on which disk you put in. Extremely happy with this purchase.

Bought this to go with my newc4k tv. I couldn’t be more happier! The pucture quality is amazing!

My E6 oled does not have dynamic tone mapping, this player has an hdr optimiser which helps reduce/eliminate clipping, it has settings for specific tv types to get the best quality. for double the price you can get the ub900 but for half the price this has great value.

A bit pricy but produces a great picture. The colors and clarity in "Avatar" were incredible, as well as my other Blurays. It is also one of the few players which displays the digital movie time.

I finally gave up on my other 4K player (rhymes with Pony and worked like a pig.) This Panasonic works beautifully! Sharp, detailed with beautiful colors. Easy to setup. And, most importantly, doesn't freeze up!

Maybe the best value 4K blu-ray player on the market. Works flawlessly with every disc, very fast to load, beautiful video quality. Hard to beat for the price!

Amazing quality and upscaling you will not find a better Blu-ray player near this price range

I wanted something with a bit more control and a small taste of high end. This player fit the bill. Has all the set up and control option I could ever want or need. Excellent picture. Super clear and excellent colors. Very nice all around. Would buy again.

Upgraded our bedroom Blu-Ray player to this new Panasonic 4K UHD player and are extremely pleased. Fantastic picture quality on our OLED TV. Very intuitive and easy to use. Worth every penny.

Don’t hesitate to buy this 4k player. If you enjoy movies or have an OLED you are doing yourself a disservice by use anything else to watch movies on!

Bought this for the surround sound analog audio output. The drawback to this unit is it does not play sacd nor dvd-audio. The remote control keys layout is horrible.

Don’t waste your time with the other players if you need Dolby Vision and have triple layer (BD-100) discs. The Panasonic plays everything with no drama, skipping or freezing.

Fully capable blu-ray player with lots of options and nice to look at too. Beautiful picture!

Awesome! It gets the job done, switches between HDR modes automatically, the HDR optimizer works well, and it does upscaling well!
