Phenomenal machine. Best in it's price class. Replacing a glitchy SonyX800M2 that would freeze up or refuse to read some 4k discs. The only good thing about that player was SACD/DVD-A support. This Panny is rock solid reliable. I wish it supported those high res audio formats, but if you don't need those it's a slam dunk.

An excellent player, properly handles Dolby Vision which is far more than I can say about many players, has optimizations per expected HDR ranges which is great as well

Beautiful image, the player let’s you fine tune even more with additional hdr settings and luminance adjustments. It costs a bit more , but if you have a good display this is the unit to get.

Great player all around. Second best to a OPPO player in my opinion. Awesome feature set. A second HDMI video output would put it through the roof.

Love this player. Traded up from a Sony UBP-800 and I’m really glad I did! The Panasonic player’s image is beautiful!

IIt actually sounds better than other players. The mechanical funtion of the loading and spin up seems precise and quick. Startup times are quick.

Big upgrade for my Sony x700. Good build quality and features. HDR settings do a good job of brightening my LG Oled. App store and software were disappointing.

Great 4k UHD picture. Easy to use. I'm not using the built in smart apps. Have tried streaming 24/192 music and the internal dac is good but not as good as dac in my Marantz Pre/Pro.

A must have for all 4k fans and. Must have for all those who own a projector, the HDR pops out with this player. Excellent and does not feel cheap!

My 4k Samsung went out and I need a replacement, read all the reviews and this one came to the top over and over. I use it everyday now and it works perfect.

The picture good enough for videoaholics. Really the best quality for cost. I knock a star off because it occasionally resets when my air conditioner kicks on. It doesnt seem to do it as much or really at all since I updated the firmware but be aware it is sensitive to power noise.

This is reasonably priced UHD disk player with 2xHDMI for audio bypass, if your new TV does not pass through 5.1 sound via optical out to existing HD compatible A/V receiver. Speed of load and menu layouts well done. Worked perfectly out of the box!

I have purchased many Panasonic DVD and Blu Ray players over the years. So when 4k blu ray was released I purchased the UB900 as my first 4k player. Now I have bought 2 of the new DP-UB820 and they are awesome. The tone mapping feature is fantastic. It sets the HDR setting to match the type of screen you have. LED, OLED, Projector etc. These players are rated as the best player on the market by several publications and online reviews. Get one at Best Buy as they will be snatched up by videophiles and are already hard to find. Fantastic machine.

An exceptional Blu-Ray player with awesome picture and sound. This player pairs well with my Sony TV, Yamaha Receiver, and Bowers &Wilkins speakers. A must have!

The 4k player works great. There isn’t a problem with it at all. Easy to hookup and start watching movies. Don’t buy any 4k movie from Best Buy because they are all have problems.

Very nice unit. Picture quality in HDR and SDR is excellent. Plenty of features and easy to setup. I definitely recommend the Panasonic 820.

Excellent picture especially when in Dolby Vision on my 75in. TCL 8 Series. Had to do set up on player and output of TV. I see more colors than on my LG B7 OLED.
