So when 4k blu ray was released I purchased the UB900 as my first 4k player. Now I have bought 2 of the new DP-UB820 and they are awesome. The tone mapping feature is fantastic. It sets the HDR setting to match the type of screen you have. LED, OLED, Projector etc. These players are rated as the best player on the market by several publications and online reviews. Get one at Best Buy as they will be snatched up by videophiles and are already hard to find. Fantastic machine.

Best entry level Dolby Vision player.

Initial setup was a breeze and the navigation features are very user friendly. If a disc has both Dolby Vision and HDR it will default to Dolby Vision, which is exactly what I want it to do.

Very few players and TVs today have BOTH Dolby and HDR10 but this one does. It also has very sophisticated tone mapping that the others lack. Be sure and watch the YouTube videos on the favored settings to get the most out of it as some defaults are questionable.
