Not many apps available, Like Vudu, Moviesanywhere, Fox, HBO etc. Good built but zero star for does not have many apps to download. Price is worth if it has all current apps.

Very Versatile Player and Fantastic Image

All video formats, backward compatible, separate audio out channel available. Not much more to want or need.

Future proofing

However, I know Panasonic's reputation. I own Panasonic camera's to Televisions. All great quality! The top end Panasonic Blu-ray player is now the new bench, and this is only one model / step below. Also, it was a VERY good price.

Great player. Has some disk reading problems

The picture is excellent and that's what I'm looking for. I'm highly appreciative of the auto Dolby Vision operation, I can't believe SONY does not include this in their machines that support Dolby Vision. Every so often there is a disk reading error. I usually find fingerprints on the disk and that clears it. A Netflix copy of Body Heat had a larger issue. When I put the disk in the X-700 it played without a problem. I'm not sure why, but a $500 player should not have such a problem. Hence the loss of 1 star. One other minor point is the display option. Being used to SONY for years I find the "display" option to be inferior. In the end I'd recommend this player.
