Great 4K player never freezes and great HDR/Dolby vision

Got this first and then couple of 4K UHD disks. The panasonic is really good. Way better than the LG Bluray disk player I got last year

There are some cheaper 4K players out there (that don't support the media formats or HDR standards of this player), but if you want something that is fully featured, this is your best option at the moment. The biggest drawback I have found is artifacting with the tone mapping. If you have that feature turned on and there are fast moving and high constrast objects on-screen, they will appear to break up as part of the prior frame remains on-screen. It's annoying and I just leave it off now whenever I watch action movies and the like. It's still nice to have for dramas - stuff that you know will be fairly still, because it helps salvage some details in highlights. Overall I'm super happy with the player and would recommend it as the go-to option for anyone wanting to get into physical 4k media and legacy physical media.

By far this is the BEST 4K Bluray player out there. It will play all of your 4K + 3D + 2D Blurays, DVDs, CDs, etc. Also if you have a 4K TV it will also play 4K HDR and Dolby Vision. If you have an older 4K TV that is not capable of HDR this is the only player that will configure the 4K HDR disk and convert it to SDR to give your 4K TV the Best possible picture no matter what. If you're looking for a 4K Bluray player that does it ALL, this IS the one.

If you’re looking for a blu-ray player for 4K movies this is it. Best bang for the buck on the market. Blows PS5 out the water.

4K discs are still be than streaming. This player has outstanding video and audio quality. Definitely worth it if you have a 4k HDR set.

Great picture, worth every penny. Bought an Audio Quest 4k hdmi cord and it looks perfect, especially at night. Sound is great as well would highly recommend.

Excellent blue ray player. Really no complaints at this point other than the streaming apps are far and few at the Panasonic store.

Bought this during BF. Didn't set it up right away but got around to it this week. First night, worked just fine. 2nd day it stopped reading the disk. Google "UB820 no read error" and there's and there's tons of people with same issues due to poor QC. Besides the dead player, very laggy UI and very outdated. First time using the remote was a bad experience too due to the Netflix button being positioned extremely poorly. Honestly expected better from a $500 device. Luckily I'm still within the return window and will be taking it back tomorrow.

This replaces my Sony 4k player and it is definitely a step up. The color quality and sound are excellent.

This was a huge upgrade from our original Sony 4k player. The picture quality is incredible and the smart player comes with all the bells and whistles.
