Works and looks great i am having trouble finding money for only ultra 4k Blu-ray to buy .

If want want the best picture possible out of your 4K TV, then this is the player for you.

This blu-ray player is everything I hoped for. It lives up to the Panasonic reputation. I recommend it to anyone.

This is a great 4k player. Better than OPPO 203. Multiple audio and video settings.

I bought this player after reading a lot of positive reviews and a few bad ones. I really regret buying it. When it works at all, it will freeze randomly and has to be unplugged and re-plugged before anything will happen. Then, it will just hang, scrolling "Please wait". I leave the room and come back after a while and find it still scrolling. It won't move on from please wait without unplugging again. This will happen multiple times before finally finishing the boot up. Then I'll restart the movie and it plays for a while before freezing again. It's in an open space, away from any heat source, so it can't be overheating. A check of the setup menu shows that the firmware is current. I've had to box it up and ship the unit to Panasonic at my own expense. The email from panasonic's service dept says they don't repair these units. They'll just swap it for a refurbished one. Best buy's policy is that they don't take returns after 15 days.

Paired this 4k player to my new LG OLED, and I've never watched a clearer movie in my life. Definitely worth the buy!!!

I am very pleased with this player. It replaced a Sony UBP-X700 that claimed to handle Dolby Vision but was not compatible with my TCL series 6 TV in DV mode. The Panasonic provides a better picture in HDR 10 also. I do like the larger remote; it is easier to hold in my hand. I like having an alphanumeric display on the unit itself, in addition to the on screen display. It is expensive, but now I am viewing both HDR10 and DV movies, and feel more satisfied with my TV's performance too.

Great DVD player, only problem is the DVD's. I bought this so I could get more true 4K movies with Dolby Atmos sound, not every movie on Xfinity has those capabilities. With a newer DVD it does great, awesome picture and sound. I get most all my DVD's from DVD.com (Netflix) and sometimes the discs can have some wear and scratches, so those don't always play well, not the DVD players fault but a liability of the format.

Love this player. Best 4K performance I've seen and worth the cost.

Panasonic dp-ub820 is a must have for a home Dolby Cinema. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, at your home!

Best 4K player available for this price unless you wanna pay 2x the price for the UB9000.

Currently the best 4k player on the market. Loaded with all the newest decoding, including dolby vision! For 4k video reproduce, you simply cant buy a better player at its price. If you plan on using it as a streaming device, youll be disappointed. Panasonic isnt up to par in the app availability dept. But those buying this player are buying it for its quality as a dedicated 4k uhd player...

It was/is pricy but you get what you pay for. Picture and audio better than my past 4k players.
