Coming from an Oppo 203, I was disappointed with the build quality and the lack of flexibility of settings...like picture aspect ratio...something that all player offered routinely several years ago, now seem to have died with the Oppos, and even the Tv's now are giving you less chance to knock out the bars while watching low res material and our 4k ultra blurays...I loved the hdr optimizer feature...that is this units claim to fame...but overall, it was a return for me, and I bought a open box mint 203...for double the price, but I'm happy..

Best brand 4K player you can buy. Panasonic is still the best.

Sleek design, not too large. High quality video and audio.

Nice unit, it takes 2nd place to only its bigger brother(which costs at least twice as much), but a bit fragile. Blows away anything from Sony, Samsung or LG currently. My first unit stopped working after around my 45th disc, so I was grateful for the extended warranty. I'm usually reluctant to purchase warranties on electronics, but this unit was over $500.00 with tax included. Knowing that cd and dvd players can just up and quit for no apperant reason, I gambled on a two year "in store" extended warranty...and it paid off. When picking up the new unit, I bumped up the warranty to the max..a 4 year warranty.

I had a need for a DVD player that would play Blu-ray Ultra HD discs and this does the job as well as provides a player for CDs as well.

This player does a great job of playback and also has great picture quality. Definitely recommended

Highly adjustable viewing capability to give your oled tv a generous boost Be prepare to learn the intricacies of the interface ,if you’re ok with that . otherwise lessers expensive units can do the job just fine

I'm glad that Panasonic has stepped up to the plate after OPPO Players went off the air. That was just too bad and although the Panasonic top-of-the-line DP-UB9000 has lots of promises, the sister UB-420 is the better priced with as good features as the top-of-the-line one. I would only give it 4 stars because I thought that it was just a bit overpriced leaving choices for other competitors in the market. All in all, I like this model from Panasonic and it functions well as it should.
