One of the worst players ever. Audio drop outs, random distorted colors, major disc freezing. Cannot watch a movie, period unless it is a regurlar blu ray. The ub820 is incapable of reading discs with as much data as a 4k disc has. Paid $550 for this player. Extremely dissappointed. Panasonic will not return emails.

Bought this after reading existing reviews and not having much luck with my Sony UBP-X800M2. It is really this good. I am using this with my home theater system through an eARC setup and Denon AVR-X2800H receiver. It works perfectly and the picture is great.

Hands down the best blu-ray player I've experienced. Quality is unsurpassed. Cannot comment on 4K disc playback because my television does not have HDR; but just for blu-rays, the cost was worth it.

What more can i say that hasn't already been said this is the best 4k player you can get other than the 9000 with is 1,000 bucks the HDR optimizer is simply amazing if you want a reference quality player and you want the most out of your display then get this player.

Really expensive just to make sure I can watch films in 24 fps. Hey Hollywood 60 frames isn't the way to make movies. I had to get this just to ensure I can continue to watch films going forward as everyone is forcing things to be in HDR and making the soap opera effect harder to escape. So I spent 400 bucks for what essentially is a worse Blu-ray player. 4k isn't worth the artifacts from frames not meshing. The future of cinema is looking very bad. As far as 4k uhd disc players go this is supposedly the best and I don't have much to complain about with the player, just the entire industry and their stupid choices.

Excellent player it handles all of my discs. No freezing issues unlike my Previous Sony XM-800M2. Picture and sound are great

I would purchase it again, this player outperforms every i have owned .

No issues at all so far i love it this is my 2nd player the other i have had a few years and it rums well they both are great

Great interface and playback quality is superb. It uses all of the latest picture and sound upgrades.

It was challenging to get rid of the irritating VIERA link that popped up magically. And, because the Geek squad TOTALLY mis-programed my universal remote, that money was poorly spent. As long as the box doesn't weird out again, it's ok. Challenges remain with understanding the codes to operate the player.

This 4k player is a beast. The HDR 10 and Dolby Vision upscale options and the 7.1 surround sound puts this 4k player in a class by itself

I was looking for a top quality 4K player to pair with my OLED TV. The Panasonic performs perfectly playing all types of disks (SD, BD & 4K) as well as streaming content. It costs a bit more than most players but you get what you pay for!

Great 4k Bluray Player for the price. I was a little surprised that the player is very lite and not heavy at all.

So far, no freezing of 4K disk playback like my and many other's Sony players are prone to doing.

Perfectly fine playback quality, however the build quality is very low, the packaging weighs nearly as much as the player itself. If build quality isn't a priority, this is a fantastic player for the money.

A very good 4K player. I have the UB 9000 and UB 900 so I bought this for another room because it’s just a hair below the other models and way cheaper. Panasonic makes killer 4K players. I love it.

I purchase this 4k video player to raise my 4k DVD viewing experience. I had purchase a less Sony version, but after taking to a sales associate I change my order to this version that was on sale. I am very happy with the quality of this unit.

Read many reviews before buying this model and am very happy with my purchase.
