Solid Bluray player with good playback features.

Some discs are not compatible with this player :(

After looking online, others have this issue, as well. Very disappointing that I now have some discs I can not watch on this player.

It has Panasonic's HDR Optimizer option which essentially is a tone mapping applied to maintain detail in very bright scenes that can sometimes be blown out without this option. Only 4 stars because there is a better build quality available at a higher price.

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.after having this for over a year i still find the remote to be one of the worse to use. no backlighting. too small. now i have found where it has messed up twice while playing a disc where i had to stop and start it again and it would play fine where is missed/messed up a portion. I didn't clean the disc just stopped and played again and rewound to before the error was. I keep the firmware up to date. also to all the people who bought 4k TV and all you want to do is stream i hate to break it to you but you are not getting everything 4k can bring you. the physical disc has a much better picture not to mention i can watch any movie i buy when i want to watch it not just when it's available to stream. just spend some time comparing 4k from a disc to streaming and you can't help but see the difference.
