I returnedf it.

It would state out of range most of the time when using with my JVC RS2000 projector...all hook ups were right to...i went with the Sony flagship player instead!!!!

Won’t play CD’s

Unfortunately I didn’t realize until now that it won’t play any CD’s (brand new or old) without cutting out every 30 seconds. Is there a software update that will fix this problem?

Crap. Skips, consoles work better to play disc

Posted .The manual and specifications state that the DP-UB820 does not support SACD. It can play Blu-ray discs, as it is a Blu-ray player, but the format and region of the discs must be compatible with the player. -M

I've owned Samsungs first 4k player, Sonys UBP-X800 and 700 so I have plenty of experience reviewing this product. This product is often compared to the Oppo 203 since this is a premium product. First, the Oppo has it beat in two areas(build quality and audio features). I am not a audiophile but I am definitely a videophile. This is where the Panasonic 820 best the Oppo. The in player tone mapping feature is marvelous. What this does is it allows you to make adjustments in color, brightness, luminance, and sharpness that allows you to match your tvs picture adjustments. Often times HDR is displayed to dark on your tv. This solves that problem. It has a HDR optimizer. It comes with a firmware upgrade that will enable Dolby Vision and it supports HDR10 for future proofing. Black Panther, MI: Rouge Nation, Avengers, Infinity War is pure eye candy. It has 3 apps, Netflix, Amazon prime and You tube. I have a apple streaming box so this doesn't matter to me. So for all you videophiles(I say that because a casual person most likely won't spend 500 on a player) take the leap and you will definitely land with both feet on the ground.
