Wow what a difference… I didn’t know movies could look so good.

Blu-ray drive in my Xbox One died, bought this to take over Blu-ray duties. Don’t have a 4k TV yet, bought this to have that capability when I do. Picture quality improved vs the Xbox, a better quality Blu-ray player will make a difference for sure. Unit connected to my WiFi easily, updates are automatic and quick. Excellent choice if you’re looking for better picture and sound quality from a Blu-ray player without spending thousands.

Best 4K Blu Ray Player money can buy. Really good quality, Dolby Atmos works great.

The upscaling from 1080p to 4k is unmatched for a personal home theater setup

There is lots of nostalgia in electronics market. This player will blow it away and make all the cheap skates wish they did not drive Panasonic out of US markets. Clearly better than UB900 and OPPO 203. Firmware has delivered on DV updates.

I had a less expensive Sony player that would freeze up on some discs. No issues at all with this player. Playback of 4k discs is perfect and they look and sound great. Playback of normal blu ray discs also look great. While the build quality is good, it is plastic case. But it is a great unit for the price.

The player provides excellent picture & sound for Dolby atmos dvds. It also does an excellent job accessing files on the home network.

I have been buying UHD discs for a while now, but I'm waiting until the price of OLED displays come down before investing in a 4K television. Often UHD releases bundle a standard Blu-Ray with the 4K disc, but it's simply a repackaged older release with a substandard transfer. Especially for 4K releases of old catalog titles, the UHD version can be a substantial improvement with new scans of the film elements and proper restoration work completed. At $500, the UB820 is a substantial investment for a disc player, but it solves my problem nicely: Once I turned off HDR10 and Dolby Vision, it's done a brilliant job of downconverting the 4K picture and high dynamic range colorspace to 1080p with the standard colorspace. Unlike the downconversion done by cheaper players, the picture isn't too bright with HDR turned off, the whites aren't blown out and the blacks aren't crushed. I am very pleased with this player, and look forward to unleashing its full abilities when I do upgrade to a 4K TV down the road.

So far im very impressed with the quality of the player. Processing performance from this 4K player is astounding, features such as dolby vision are the cherry on top. Cannot recommend the Panasonic UB-820 enough.

For me this was a necessary upgrade because my Sony 4K player was well used. After buying my Samsung Oled TV I wanted to take advantage of the video processing capabilities and upscale DVD’s, Blue ray’s too 4K. It made older movies from my collection more captivating, like seeing them again for the first time. Movies draw you in and details are amazing. I recommend this player.

Remarkable 4K Ultra HD player from Panasonic. Highly recommendable. Very Good performance and reliability. Never had a single problem or issue with it.

The UB820 performs as advertised. Absolutely one of the best disc players on the market, great purchase.

I’ve never had a problem with this player in the year since I’ve owned it. I would easily recommend this over the more expensive $1000 model. Works just as well and a better value.

Plays all HDR formats,including Dolby Vision,HDR + etc. Awesome picture quality and upscaling of regular blurays thanks to it's much hyped Hollywood HCX Chip. The apps are soso but Panasonic is improving them(Netflix supports Dolby Vision)

Very nice picture on TV. I have not see 4K disks images presented better by any other DVD player.

I bought this 4K Blu-Ray player 2 months ago to go with my new Sony 4K TV and I'm very happy with it. The picture quality is excellent whether I'm playing 4K movies or older standard DVD's. It was well worth spending the extra money for this high quality product.
