    Unit was DOA

    Just purchased this past weekend. Unboxed, plugged in and popped a disc in. Was making odd, loud noises. Didn’t make it through the first movie without freezing up that required a total shut down. Wouldn’t play 3 of 10 discs I tried. For a $500 unit, 30% failure rate is unacceptable. It’s going back when I have time this week. What a disappointment

    Time to optimize!

    It's all about the HDR optimizer. It'll make any projector display a better picture with 4k discs. Since projectors aren't super bright, the optimizer helps the picture pop. With the Dolby Vision support that other lower Panny models don't offer, this is the one to get.

    Piece of Garbage Blu-ray Player

    This is the worst Blu-ray Player ever! Terrible piece of garbage! Four 4K discs in a row had constant playback problems with sound and picture quality. And Dolby Vision completely ruined my 4K Disc of The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. And I have a Sony X950H TV what supports Dolby Vision, Please no more Stupid Gimmicks being forced on me! Where are all the positive reviews coming from? because 4K definitely doesn't live up to the hype. Most discs don't work properly on when played on it. and Many discs start out way too quiet then gets way too loud the more playback goes on. It is way too finicky and can't handle much. Even the smallest amount of rewinding, fast forwarding, chapter forward, chapter backward makes it go haywire. It is terrible and clunky.

    Good when it worked, but mostly didn't work.

    The Magnolia employees were great and did everything they could to help. This review is for the player, not Magnolia or Best Buy. First Unit: Overheated causing unit to freeze/lock up. Had to unplug power cord and wait, then restart unit to finish the movie. Exchanged for a new, second unit. Second Unit: This unit works with 4K Ultra HD movies, and DVD movies, but NOT Blu-ray movies. When attempting to read the disc, the unit displays "This disc is not compatible for playback." I tried several different discs. Keep in mind, two of these were movies that were successfully read and played by the first unit. Panasonic Customer Support: Don't waste your time. Their responses not actionable and unrelated to the issue in any logical way. Summary: I wanted to like this player, a lot. I was a true believer based on the reviews. However, my personal experience with this product has been frustrating. This was the first Panasonic AV product I have ever purchased, and it will be the last Panasonic product of any type I'll ever buy. Maybe you will have better luck than I did.

    After 4 months this DVD player suddenly started outputting video in a 4:3 format giving vertical black columns at each side of my picture. It is not the TV - I tried 2 different TV's There is no option to adust this in settings. I am having GREAT difficulty in contacting Panasonic support - their website gives no phone number & their automated support "AI" is useless. I will NEVER buy another Panasonic product.

    No REVIEW, I DONT OWN ONE YET, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT WAS $30-40 LESS 2 MONTHS AGO, yall raised the price after I'd been watching it for months, VERY ANGERY ABOUT THE PRICE INCREASE. I'VE SAVED $7 BEING A "PLUS MEMBER SINCE NOVEMBER 23RD, 2023. I WON'T BE RENEWING MY PLUS MEMBERSHIP

    I have over 80 4K dvd’s And only a quarter of them are able to work on this 4K Player I have only had this for less then 1 year and I wish I hadn’t bought it.
