Bought for my girlfriend, she likes the game but she gets annoyed at the battles because they’re repetitive and they take forever to do sometimes. But she likes the game nonetheless

Not really an RPG like the preceding games in the Paper Mario series, but still very fun, and colorful and full of clever humor. Also, a unique and fun puzzle combat system.

Overall, it is a good Mario game so far. As others have mentioned, the story line, colors, and levels are awesome. However, the ring battle system gets old after a while. If experience points were awarded, I think it would be a benefit.

A few hours in and loving it. The visuals and the style are great. The writing and dialog is funny and witty. Tons of fun so far. Has that usual nintendo charm and polish.

The very cute art style and a challenging boss fight. Besides the story is quite touching. I was not expecting a deep story from a Mario game but this one is a surprise.

I was iffy about getting this game since the last two weren’t that great. This one involves a lot of gameplay. If you’re not a fan of puzzles you won’t like this game.

I love this game. Super easy to learn how to play. My 8 year old sister has fun as well. Great story to go with it.

After a long wait of a first party game, I was excited to play this game. The landscape is beautiful and the story is original. I enjoyed the entire experience.

If you're looking for a fun and light hearted adventure feeled with humorous dialogue. Then do yourself a favor and pick up the latest Paper Mario. It's so good.

Great game but the battle mechanics are terrible - nothing like what the previous Paper Mario games used. Definitely not an improvement. I wish it were longer. Otherwise it is a great game

I was never interested in the paper mario franchise, but the trailers made me want to get it and try it once and for all. What a delightful game, full of charm, fun characters, gameplay that doesnt bore, missions that are fun, im fully invested in the world of paper mario. The battles turn interesting, and the clues to get things are obviously fun. Some are really hard and it makes you look outside the box. A win for nintendo. Highly recommended.

This game is so much fun. I like the storyline so far. It’s funny at times too. I can’t wait until I finish this game to see what happens at the end.

Overall, it's alright. Though it's not as good as Paper Mario 64, TTYD, and Super Paper Mario, but it's still pretty alright. Battle system is sometimes stressful. Good concept, but still bothersome sometimes.

This is a turn based combat system game. Not your typical Mario game. Graphically looks great, very Nintendo, and last around 25-30 hours. Sometimes I wish I could fast forward the fights, great game though.

The new Paper Mario is a pretty fun adventure game with funny/witty writing. Unfortunately I didn't find the game very challenging, but I still enjoyed it.

Let me preface this by saying that I'm one of those hardcore fans of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and while I am vehemently against the drastic gameplay shift the series has taken since then, this is in no way a bad game. It is actually a great game. I greatly enjoyed the story and environments and the music was top shelf quality. The gameplay was also quite good, not exactly what I wanted but still very imaginative and it gets the job done at times. Knocking a point off for lack of challenge as you can just buy your way through the puzzles during the fights with the in-game cash. Lots of charm and very self aware at times. Would definitely recommend if you don't mind it being a non-RPG.

Love this game! It has so much content and doesn’t get old as you progress through. Some really fun levels and puzzles

Writing is good. They tried something new with the line them up battle system though if you if do it correctly you can win the battle before the enemy attacks which takes the fun out of it.
