My favorite Paper Mario since Thousand Year Door. The humor is top-notch, and I like that the combat has elements of a puzzle game.

I enjoy taking a break from FPS games and playing a Nintendo game that is cute and fun. I like games that I can sink time into, have a fun melee element, and are mostly chill and not serious. This game fits the bill. I had the paper mario for the wii back in the day, and I find myself sinking more hours into this one than the other. I enjoy that it is more open world and free roam, and it's a good game for killing time. The game might not be for everyone, but when I want to relax and play a fun game, mario games are usually perfect!

Haven't finished. Love what I've played so far. Has a very RPG feel to it. Lots of fun. Highly recommend for an Mario fan and switch owner

My first Paper Mario experience was Sticker Star on the 3DS, so some would say not the greatest game. Paper Mario Origami King adds a unique matching fighting mechanic that is fun, but gets a little old quickly. Combined with the leveling mechanic going away, fighting battles can become a chore that you sometimes want to just avoid in general. Still the game has a fun story like past entries that is worth playing through despite the new fighting mechanic. And I can still recommend this game even with the fighting mechanic.

We are obsessed ! My 4year old loves it and it’s fun for the whole family to take turns playing.

It may not be the old school Paper Mario people were clamoring for, but it was definitely a fun and charming game with a good story.

Loved this game! In a really interesting twist Mario teams up Kamek, Bowser junior and Bowser to defeat their in common foe.

Very funny writing. This isn’t an RPG like the first few paper Mario games, but I really enjoyed it. Cheerful and colorful.

Battle system gets a lil wonky and getting used to. But the story is very good and changes the series in a different alternative way.

The Origami King was released in the Summer of 2020, during a time when was a definitely a dry spell and Nintendo wasn't releasing too many games due to the pandemic. It was a welcome breath of fresh air. Even if somewhat different to the traditional role playing games this series is known for, this action-adventure still has loads of charm, a great story, and a very interesting puzzle-like combat system—even if those who like those older Paper Mario games may be turned off by it. I like to embrace change, and I thought Intelligent Systems took a commendable risk that, while flawed, is one of the series' best in over a decade.

Paper Mario is a wonderful game! The story is interesting and overall the quality is great.

Your kids will love very fun. Lots to do. Many levels to complete. Not to hard to do

If you’ve played the previous Mario paper games, you won’t be disappointed!! Make sure you have plenty of coins and confetti.

I like it! It's fun to play and reminds me a lot of the original paper mario. One thing I don't like is the way they do battle I wish they would have kept it the old way.

I waited a long time for a Paper Mario game to come to the Switch. This one turned out to be a little different than what I had hoped, but it is fun nevertheless. Battles are non-traditional, and I guess that's what makes this game interesting. However, I would have loved it if they had kept the same formula as the previous games in the series. That's the one drawback of this game. Overall, I'll see if it grows on me, if not, hope to see the next game in this series go back to its roots!
