Simply perfect in all aspects. Nintendo is the best when it comes to stories and also great gameplay.

As someone who's loved every Paper Mario installment, from N64 to Color Splash, this might be my favorite in the series. I think it did a really good job of bringing back some older mechanics (open world, companions, epic narrative) without completely erasing what the newer games brought to the table (art style, interesting battle mechanics, platforming elements). If you're looking for TTYD part 2 this isn't it. But if you want a fantastic and unique Mario adventure this is 10/10.

Wow, I had fun from the beginning to the end. I can only play games on the go, which the Switch is great for, and this game was perfect for those occasions. I know there were some negative feedback from the people who wanted Paper Mario series to go back to its roots, but I had a lot of fun playing this game. I think if you can be open about that aspect, it's really worth picking up!

Really enjoying this game. Not as good as TTYD, but definitely an improvement over the past few releases in the series.

The Paper Mario series always seem cute and promising...but end up being mediocre. There is some wonderful humor, but the gameplay gets old fast.

Love the graphics and story. Battle system gets repetitive which is unfortunate. Still a worthwhile play if you enjoy this type of turn based system.

I like the art, and the parts where I can wander around and explore, but really not a fan of the ring battles, particularly when they 'require' an item that wears out and doesn't seem to regenerate. Personally if you're going for a 'junior friendly' game, I'd suggest Yoshi's Crafted World, but this is fine if you don't mind getting sucked into repetitive battles in a circle.

The only thing this game has going for it was the addition of a new enemy that isn’t Bowser, and the graphics. The puzzles in this game are too difficult for a Mario game, and the battle system is just horrible. I would not recommend this product for its price, and since 1st party Nintendo games don’t usual drop below $40, I can’t ever recommend this game.

Paper Mario 2 was the last installment I played in this wonderful series so I was excited to jump back in, having missed out on all the fun of the previous installments to Origami King. While Paper Mario: Origami king is a miss on my favorite RPG mechanics, it still offers a beautiful and refreshing gaming experience. It is a game that should be enjoyed by generations to come!

The sliding puzzle battle system is a bit weird but the overall game design is great. And at least there's a very slight shift from the standard "Save the Princess" plot.

The visuals and music in the game are top notch. The dialogue is quirky, cheesy, and sarcastic in all the best ways. The battle mechanics are different from previous paper Mario games but it is explained in great detail. The battles start off very simple and slowly get more intricate the further you progress in the game. Overall very happy with this game and recommend to anyone who likes a good Mario story and solving puzzles.
