Always love me a good Mario game and an rpg. They changed the combat up a little bit in this one but it's still really fun.

Thousand Year Door is still the best game from this series in my opinion. Excited for the original from N64 to be released on Switch Online.

Like most Mario games this one kept my attention. Original paper Mario was better, but this one was pretty good.

As a fan of the old paper Mario’s, this games does not scratch that itch. But it scratches a different itch and it’s good

Played several of the last few Paper Mario entries across console and DS. This is a creative and engaging entry with familiar game play along with new battle concepts. Very fun.

I like the art, and the parts where I can wander around and explore, but really not a fan of the ring battles, particularly when they 'require' an item that wears out and doesn't seem to regenerate. Personally if you're going for a 'junior friendly' game, I'd suggest Yoshi's Crafted World, but this is fine if you don't mind getting sucked into repetitive battles in a circle.

The battle system on here is not very fun and unfortunately you are forced into battles about every minute or two of the game. It was interesting the first couple of times, but quickly gets tedious. The rest of the game is cute and somewhat funny, though the last few chapters felt kinda rushed through development. Probably because Nintendo hasn’t had much else to deliver since the release of Animal Crossing.
