Paper Mario: Origami King is a delightful—if not kind of easy—entry into the Paper Mario franchise. If you are looking for a challenge this isn't the place. If you are looking to have a good time with a beautifully design world you've got the game for you!

First off I’ll mention that I’m a long-time fan of the Paper Mario series. This game has all the charm and humor of the previous titles, but includes an odd - and slightly annoying at times - combat system. If you don’t like puzzles you for sure won’t like the combat in this game. Other than that, all the usual hallmarks of a Paper Mario game are here.

There's been a lot of reviews about this game, so I'm not gonna get into it too deeply. The graphics, while simplistic, are very effective in presenting this charming world. The characters are likable for the most part and the dialog is rather witty. The story is interesting, but nothing I'd rave about. The combat engine might deter some players that expect the same as the previous versions. It's more like puzzle-solving rather than turn-based. I liked it at first but did become a bit tedious at some points. It's a good thing that there are other mechanics spread all over the game and this is not the longest RPG, clocking in at about 30 or so hours. While it may not be as good as past Paper Mario games (in my opinion) I still enjoyed it. It didn't hook me as much as it should and I ended up playing in sessions. I am happy that Nintendo is keeping the Paper Mario series alive and look forward to the next one.

Origami King has a decent story line. Some aspects of it are cute in a childlike way. It really gets you thinking and planning out strategies when it comes to the battles. And it’s better than Sticker Star.

I haven't beat Final Boss yet. I will say, this is beautiful. Perhaps improve since Color Splash. Battle Music, I like it! I love to play that kind of Puzzle. Spoiler-Free: One of that part, it stabs my heart. Oh Nintendo, you knew how to playing with my feelings!

Fun, but not my favorite Paper mario title. Still worth it if you like the series, though. The game really shines in its art direction and humor. I preferred the battle system of previous paper mario titles but this one did grow on me. It's a fun adventure and if you're familliar with Paper Mario, you'll get exactly what you expect.

Pretty typical Mario game from Nintendo - well made, not too hard, and lots of fun. You don't need to have played the original Paper Mario to understand what's happening or the battle system. My favorite part of this game is the art style - everything is so cute!

Was super thrilled to get the game delivered the day it came out! I’m a Mario lover so I love the game! Great for kids...not too hard! There’s always a way to get a hint if you get stuck so I haven’t hit a frustrating moment yet (over halfway through the game).

Love playing all the past paper mario games and this one doesn't disappoint, my only complaint would be the combat can be a little repetitive and some boss battles can be a little bit challenging but other than that it's a great game for any Nintendo fan

My son loves this game. From the 2D art, to the music, to the puzzles, he has an absolute blast playing this game. Some of the bosses can be frustrating, but there are plenty of online guides to help.

My wife and I love playing through this casual fun game as all the Paper Marios have been in the past. They tried to re-vamp the combat system and we both find it annoying at how often you have to go into the combat sequence and line the enemies up. Graphics, dialogue, and the Mario prominence makes this more than playable and fun.

This game isn’t Thousand Year Door but that’s ok. The environments are beautiful, the writing funny and charming, and the puzzle type combat makes you think like a strategy game. I have only beat the first 2 bosses and I’m loving every second, been taking my time sometimes getting lost in the world looking for toads. Everyone needs to stop thinking that every Paper Mario has to be like Thousand Year Door, if you come in knowing it’s an adventure puzzle like game with a tiny bit of RPG elements you will like it so much more, there’s so much fun to be had and it has such unique touches. I would recommend this game for any age but those under maybe 8 might need a little help with the combat as it is a little tricky and you have to think fast with the puzzles. I don’t listen to what others say I think this is a great Paper Mario game.

I never played a Paper Mario game this good since The Thousand-Year Door, although it's still not as good as that game nor the first one on the N64. Still no RPG elements and the battle system is the most frustrating I've experienced, those which held me back from giving this game 5 stars. The story is pretty good though.

I love this game. It’s paper Mario with all the charm and story. However, the leveling and rpg aspects have been stripped away. Also the battle system is unique, but can get tiring for some. I recommend looking up a YouTube video to see it in action.
