Great story, fun boss battles, and cool puzzles makes this a very good game. This is my second favorite switch game behind Breath of the Wild.

The Paper Mario series has had it's hiccups in the past in regards to it's quality. This game attempts to be a return to form in humor and story, with a unique battle mechanic that should have been in development for a little longer. The platforming is great, the worlds are imaginative and colorful, and characters are charming....and then the battle system slogs the entire game down. Please watch review videos and decide if that battle system looks appealing, because it can grate on people who just want to get back to the platforming and varied environments.

I enjoy taking a break from FPS games and playing a Nintendo game that is cute and fun. I like games that I can sink time into, have a fun melee element, and are mostly chill and not serious. This game fits the bill. I had the paper mario for the wii back in the day, and I find myself sinking more hours into this one than the other. I enjoy that it is more open world and free roam, and it's a good game for killing time. The game might not be for everyone, but when I want to relax and play a fun game, mario games are usually perfect!

Good game, it went deeper into the paper gimmick but it brings a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed the GameCube's paper mario formula better but don't let it stop you from getting this game.

My first Paper Mario experience was Sticker Star on the 3DS, so some would say not the greatest game. Paper Mario Origami King adds a unique matching fighting mechanic that is fun, but gets a little old quickly. Combined with the leveling mechanic going away, fighting battles can become a chore that you sometimes want to just avoid in general. Still the game has a fun story like past entries that is worth playing through despite the new fighting mechanic. And I can still recommend this game even with the fighting mechanic.

It may not be the old school Paper Mario people were clamoring for, but it was definitely a fun and charming game with a good story.

Great fun game! Took me a while to finish, there's a lot to do here and it's great for both adults and kids alike.

Paper Mario TOK on Switch is really fun to get into. Easy to play with top notch humor throughout the story & the battle puzzle aspect really gets you to challenge your brain. There is no exp in the gameplay but you can find accessories through the levels that will increase your stats so it's almost close to having exp anyway but saves time on the past Rpg with grinds. If some of these you like then give it a try.

Loved this game! In a really interesting twist Mario teams up Kamek, Bowser junior and Bowser to defeat their in common foe.

The Paper Mario series always seem cute and promising...but end up being mediocre. There is some wonderful humor, but the gameplay gets old fast.

While this entry isn't ground-breaking, Nintendo did a great job of incorporating the series onto the current gen. I beat it fairly quick, but enjoyed the humor and unique gameplay.

Super fun and family friendly game. It is well thought out and they did a great job with the graphics and story.

At first I wasn’t feeling the battle system with the disc but you get over it quick. Such an amazing game. The humor is five stars.

Battle system gets a lil wonky and getting used to. But the story is very good and changes the series in a different alternative way.

I have small children and they love to watch me play. Story good so far and it's fun to play. Would highly recommend to all ages.

Good game, only thing to note is change in combat as it is more puzzle solving than turn based. Sometimes it gets a bit tedious but overall game is really fun.

This game is absolutely beautiful. Battle system takes a little bit getting used, but overall the story is unique and intriguing.

Maybe this game was overhyped but overall this game is a solid 3/5 stars. The graphics are wonderful. The plot is great. Characters and the puzzling factors of the game that makes it challenging is very fun and wonderfully adventurous. The negatives of it is that the battling portion is too simple and not as strategic. All based off of timing and just choosing the right stuff which is too easy. Nothing challenging which is a downer. GameCube paper mario was definitely more fun and made it so battling with enemies would be not so repetitive and simple. There was alot more to the battling portion. Wish they could have focused on making that portion more strategic as well. Still didn't beat the game because I literally got it yesterday but I probably played about a third to half way already and seems like it's a game I still recommend. Still pretty addictive so gave it a good three stars. Wish I could give it a 4 though.
