This game is just fun to play. Fun little story and good game play, different then your usual Mario game as it’sa turn based rpg with a puzzle twist.

A fun adventure game with a few action and puzzle elements. The characters and art-style are lighthearted and fun. Overall the game is entertaining but not very challenging for an adult. A decent homage to the original Paper Mario on N64, but not quite as good.

My almost 8 year old loves this game. Has some challenge to it so he doesn’t breeze right through, but not too much to where he doesn’t want to play. Love the graphics. Dialogue is quite comical as well.

This really is a fun game with tons of charm. I do appreciate the writing and the more open world mechanics. The hidden surprises throughout the game are great. It would have been a better game if the battle system was more rewarding. Still great and worth owning though.

If you love Mario but and like using your head a little to figure things out then Paper Mario is the perfect game. It's fun yet a lil challenging in the sense that tou have to do a little more thinking than in your regular Mario games. I love the story line and the art work in these games. They are basic but have some depth to them as well. The only thing I dont really like a lot is the battling style where you have to put enemies in a line/or bunch to get the best hits in. I guess they wanted tonchange it up a little but I perfer the battling style from "Paper Mario the 1000 Year Door" over all the other styles in each game. All and all I recommend this game especially if you have liked the Paper Mario games prior to this one.

    A Story Worth The Struggle

I hadn't played a Paper Mario game in a long time. I hadn't heard anything good about the last few games and I hated they messed with the RPG formula that made the first two instant classics. When I saw this game previewed, I felt compelled to give this one a shot for some reason and overall I'm glad I did. Yes, the battling is not near as enjoyable as the original style, but I did find fulfillment in the puzzle aspect. Puzzles are always rewarding when you solve them, right? What can't be understated is how engrossing the story was. It was the reason I kept coming back. Not quite The Thousand Year Door story, but it works very well. I definitely recommend this game as long as you feel you can look past and embrace the puzzle battle system. It really isn't that bad.

Paper Mario games are just plain fun! They're bright and colorful, full of wit and humor. Not too hard but also still an enjoyable playthrough for everyone. You can't go wrong.

50-60+ hours to get through. Gameplay is good and it is challenging in parts for any age. Graphics are excellent—story is original—ring battles are annoying at first and then they aren’t so bad.

Better than expected. Even though the battle mechanics is weird and a little bit repetitive at times, the graphics are beautiful, the story is funny and interesting, and it provides a relaxing fun time. Tons of collectibles!

This game is all around fun, lots of variety. Good mix of adventure, treasure hunting, puzzles, and classic nintendo laughs. The game has a hint of mario RPG and a Zelda feel to it. Its causal but tough at times. a perfect balance. I'd like to have seen them expand the RPG aspects , more weapons/armor/accessories, speed up the game text, and clean up the graphics. I did a full play though and never found any bugs. Game did a good job of giving hints when stuck. I highly recommend this game. It took about 30 hours to complete @ 90% completion.

A wonderful new addition to the Paper Mario line. The game is full of great dialogue and the combat take a bit of getting used too, but once you learn it it's a great experience.

This game is much more aligned in gameplay stile with the original two Paper Marios. However, the combat system starts you out by holding your hand. I really hope the battle system gets better as the game goes on. Overall it is still a fun game

Great story, plenty of humor and quick pick up and play. The new Batlle mechanics take a little getting used to, but the game provides plenty of instruction and a practice arena.

I binged this game. I could not put it down. At first I was thrown off on how slow the dialogue was, but playing the game I did find the dialogue speeding up and I no longer had this issue. I have issues with beating games, and I can say this is the first game I beat in 2020 because I could not stop playing. The boss fights started off easy but near the end I was struggling with the puzzles surprisingly enough. Story telling was VERY good. Normally I don't think Mario games have amazing stories, but The Origami King surprised me with the depth of the characters portrayed. Sucks that there is no replayability.
