I love the paper mario series and getting to play one of the best was amazing

My son is a fan when he is looking for a chill game.

Aside from the lower FPS, which is more of a Switch issue, pretty much an upgrade is every way. If you prefer the old music, they give you a badge to hear that instead, too. Faithful to the original, with more polishing and added content. Can't think of a downside.

C'mon, there's no need to review the best rpg paper mario game since super Mario rpg ... the original characters and stories!? This was the pinnacle of rpg Mario's, every one after this was just toads and real life Items.... feels lazy, oh a stapler that would be a cool boss.

They were right, this is a great game. I've never played the GC version but seeing the things they've improved makes me glad I experienced this one first. Definitely get this if you like funny RPGs or if you wanna get into RPGs, this one's pretty accessible

Amazing that they put this put on the switch as i had been searching for a resonably priced copy for gamecube. This is true to original and the paper mario 64 game. Much better than the rest of the paper mario games.

It's my favorite game of all time and it's remade perfectly. Service was great and there was easy pick up.

It's a classic, just a fun as I remember. Highly recommended.

Really worth playing if I never play it on GameCube!

Great little game that holds up with the new coat of paint. If you played the GCN version all those years ago, you will still find what made this title one of the best in the Paper Mario series. If you didn't, then you will find just why this game is still held as the golden standard for the Paper Mario titles since.

Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door at its core is the most RPG-focused entry in the series compared to its later and newer entries. This game is definitely for you is you miss the RPG mechanics. The updated quality of life, graphics, and soundtrack breathe so much life into this game.

While the game still has some padding and backtracking, it remains one of the best I have ever played. The new visuals and instrumental music significantly improve the experience (though you can switch to the old music if feeling nostalgic) and the humor resonates just as well today as it did on release.

I've loved this game since the original came out, and this one is just a love letter to that game, improving on everything that made the GC version one of the best RPGs in the Mario series, and - I would argue - of all time. This one is a must.

Great port, effectively replaces the original. Hopefully more Gamecube exclusives get Switch ports to bring retro prices down some.

Shipping was super quick with Bestbuy and game was packaged with care. I even got a text notification it had been delivered. As someone who never got to play the original game when it first came out i was super excited to finally play this remake from Nintendo!

Excellent remake of GC original. Worth it for thr 50 dollar value. Definitely one of the best paper mario rpgs out there Give it a try if u never played the original brfore. If you have, it is also worth a 2nd play through :)

First time playing this and I can see why it's so hyped. Great game with a good story and cute characters, and it looks better than ever. The box art pops and makes it one of the nicest switch game boxes in my opinion.

This is a classic Gamecube remake that is my favorite game. They did a really good job porting it to the switch and they made some good and bad changes to the game (the bad ones are minor). It is a very fun game, highly recommend.

Aside from not being able to fully play out dialogue boxes to get through them easier, this is all a dream come true. Really hoping this is the beginning of the return to the classic formula of Paper Mario in subsequent sequels.
