Best paper Mario game ever made remade fantastically well for Nintendo’s current console. Between slightly updated visuals, a completely overhauled soundtrack, and the classic combat and story of the GameCube version 20 years has not changed my opinion that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is the definitive Mario RPG.

I was obsessed with this game when it came out on GameCube, but unfortunately, I lost it over the years. It was the first game I had looked for when I bought my Switch, and I can honestly say that they did an amazing job with this remake. There are negligible changes and the fact that I can finally play this game again with stunning graphics is just a dream come true. And Best Buy was amazing in securing my spot to purchase it when it came out. Other stores were pulling and canceling orders due to the overflow; however, Best Buy held up their end of the bargain to ensure I got this game on release day! I couldn't;t have been more ecstatic by both the purchase guarantee and the quick service! Just Lovely!

Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door is more then a simpe remaster. Is a a gorgeous from the ground up remake with gameplay improvments. Its the definitive version of this game.

Never played the original, was going into college when this first came out. But now my daughter and i have been playing it every night and love the quirky story and fun remake that the game is. Yeah yeah, i saw the complaints about the lower 30fps frame rate. It doesnt matter. What made this game great in 2004 wasnt the 60fps. Ordered from bestbiy and had it shipped, arrived at 10am on launch day. Didnt have the pre order issues is saw other retailers experiencing. Great game.

A terrific game visual, story and game play wise. Arrived from Best Buy in perfect condition and in great time.

Currently in chapter 5 and it's just like I remembered it as a kid and then some. Has some great quality-of-life additions and changes, including shortcuts to minimize some of the backtracking. I thought the new music would feel overdone but I haven't felt the need to change it back to the old tracks, and... yeah, it runs at 30 FPS compared to the original game's 60, but it doesn't impact the responsiveness of the controls and all the new details and animations more than make up for it.

Faithful remake of an RPG classic, with just a few added surprises included. The quality of life updates are more than appreciated and it's been wonderful to experience this release again twenty years after the original classic. For those who have never played, come for the fantastic JRPG-esque battle system and stay for the incredible story, world building, and characters.

A fantastic reimagining of a beloved classic Gamecube experience. It takes the original game and upgrades it with fresh coats of paint, new quality of life features, a small bit of additional content, and most importantly preserves what made the original game so special back in 2004. It's well worth the purchase whether you're a new fan or an old fan.

The Switch Remake gives this game a fresh coat of paint for modern standards along with additional content for players both new amd returning.

I played the original game back on the Gamecube, it has always been one of my all time favorite games and I was so happy when I found out that it was being remade for the Switch. For those that are fans of the original game there are settings and items in the game to make it feel more like the original game experience. Couldn't be happier with with my purchase or that this even exists.

This is a must play for Mario fans and RPG fans alike, and its great for newcomers with its intuitive battle system. Pick this up as soon as you can.

Awsome game! Updated graphics from its original release. Bought it for my wife because she was a big fan of the Paper Mario series. I think I enjoy watching her play it more than she actually does while playing it.

A great way to replay the story of paper Mario the thousand year door! With its new graphics with HD gameplay I have been enjoying seeing the new updated visuals of this game.

Only $60 for a complete remake of a masterpiece game that is impossible to find now because it is otherwise so old? Amazing deal.
