The purchase of this item ordered the purchase of a new printer ultimately. Obviously, this item is relatively inexpensive but cost the addition of a new printer because many efforts failed to recognize a HP printer that worked with the last HP desktop. Updating the equipment was absolutely mandatory and a task taken on by a professional tech. Horrible and frustrating first experience. A step down from the previous HP equipment in some respect.
