I might have to rate it better once I get used to it.

It was great while it lasted!! I was excited about learning Windows 10 and about the more secure Internet experience. Then it died--apparently a bad motherboard that needs to be replaced. Unfortunately it's on back order with no estimated time of arrival. I realize these things happen but Best Buy should stand behind the products they sell. They are telling me that their warranty period is 14 days and since this happened after 14 days it's up to HP to fix the computer. One guess when I will shop at Best Buy in the future. And when I will purchase HP products in the future.

Lackluster computer. I only need a computer to surf the web a little, and for email. Consequently I bought a low end computer. Within 2 months, the computer stared acting up. It was suddenly shutting off when it was supposed to be going into sleep mode. I rechecked the settings multiple times, and restarted the computer multiple times, yet the problem persisted. The only fix that HP Support could offer was a system recovery, which, of course, returns the unit to a 'day one' state. Therefore I lost all programs that I installed. This is the 4th HP computer that I have owned. I will never buy HP again.

I had to return my first purchase because the tray for the disk drive would not open. No similar problem with the second computer but it is not much faster than my 7 year old computer that it is replacing.

Didnt realize I would not be able to burn cds on this computet, having difficulties with the operating program

This is by far the worst computer I have ever had the opportunity to use. It takes on average 30 minutes to boot up and be ready to use. Once it is up and running if you try to open more than 1 window it takes forever to get the 2nd window open. You can forget switching between the open windows. This computer is pure garbage on a good day. Unfortunately it’s too light to use for a boat anchor. BTW I have quite a bit of computer experience so I am not a newbie.

I am not very pleased as it seems very slow. I would rather not have windows 10 The sound card sounds scratchy. I might just return it before my 30 days are up.

I had to do a system reboot on it and erase and reinstall windows after maybe 3 days. It was fast for a week now it's as slow as my old one. Highly unimpressed.

This is a very slow computer tower. I had tried it for 20 days and wanted to take it back but Best Buy has a 15 day return policy that does not give you time to try out the product. I called HP, and Microsoft. Many times, HP would remotely log into the computer and make many changes and updates to the computer. It still runs slow no matter what they do. HP also states it's a software issue and that their warrantly only covers hardware issues. This is outrageous.

Technician could not get it to program properly so had to return it to the store and get a replacement unit, then retransfer all data to the second unit.

my son had a similar problem and returned his unit for another product which he's happy with now.

Had a ton of set-up issues. Also, slower than Id like. Overall, ok basic PC but totally not worth the price I paid for it.

Do not like Windows 10. If I would have known, I would have bought a new Windows 7 computer !

Just took it out the box and installed it and it was making this humming noisy that would not stop. Returned it the very next day.

Got it for the kids to do there home work and it always takes a long time to get it going so it's slow and it's not my internet

Shuts down by itself, maybe once a day, sometimes several times an hour. Took it back a few days after purchase and geek squad couldn't duplicate the problem and said since I didn't buy the $150 protection plan, they wouldn't review the history. I have spent thousands of dollars at Best Buy, but never again.

Not what I thought it would be. I have purchased HP products before with great result....this one is not for me

I am not an avid gamer or have the need to control a small country so for my needs, this PC is just perfect for my home needs. I will say that Windows 10 is not a horrible operating system but it's different than what former version users have had and change is often difficult for people to tolerate. Much like whatever your first operating system was... BASIC, DOS, or any version of Windows you had to learn it and I bet it didn't take you too long. My first Windows 95 PC cost me some $1300 and would be considered a door stop by today's standards with the specifications. This machine is more than adequate for the home user at a great price. Don't overthink this purchase. People who are waiting for price to drop by $10 or for more megs, gigs, or features are only prolonging the purchase. Come on Down... you're the next contestant on THE PRICE IS RIGHT!!!
